It's Tomato Season

The SRF Response is up on this blog and on Joy's.
Join my friends here in a hearty tomato toss.

Gawd, I love tomatoes.

I find it interesting and puzzling that SRF decided to tell all of us our experiences were just a dream, a hallucination of our spiritually deficient minds.

It's also interesting to see they are not contrite but justify the abuses of the past and they never say they have not, do not and will not engage in such practices.

And of course, the blame for Bill's personal, financial and sexual abuses lie with us.

And the blame for the financial, personal and (well, you get the picture) perpetrated by Angela Silva and Robin Dumolin are ours as well.

It's a common thing, as some have said. The Spiritual Rights Foundation's failures (as well as the failures of Angela Silva and Robin Dumolin) are always another person's fault. Can anyone remember any time any of them acknowledged any responsibility for any of their actions? Only when they succeed, of course.

I've been asked why we settled when we had them on the ropes. It's because Joy and I pledged to display more humanity, more mercy, more restraint than those at SRF ever had.

We were on the verge of a ruling which we were confident of winning (and they were sure they would lose - in fact, it's not clear they expected an anti-SLAPP from us). But we exhibited our humanity to spare them the gallows.

But Angela Silva and Robin Dumolin stuck their heads in the noose anyway by demanding we let them post that response.

They have declared open season on themselves with their half-baked statement.

I told those three, they'd be better off if we just plugged in a link to their response (which could be housed in a secure location on their website) to be prominently displayed on every page of this blog. Doing that would have allowed them to control comments (unlike here, SRF does not condone commentary from anyone - unless that commentary is "warm and nourshing") and a link on every one of my pages ensured prominent visibility for their message.

But they demanded to put their statement on this blog directly and further demanded I remove the links to their site (which I added for simple fairness), immediately putting a bull's-eye on their back as they are in a free and open forum.

Don't expect love and light, girls. The world has some nice ripe ones at the ready.

Well Angela and Robin Billy Mays tells me Oxy-Clean works wonders on tomato stains. (by the way, when he saw St. Peter did he say, "HI, BILLY MAYS HERE!")

Anyway: Please see this page for the response to the SRF response.

There are comments in the "It's Tomato Season" article as well.

I may have agreed to let them post a response, but they can't stop anyone from commenting on their own public statement.

Because:
SILENCE = DEATH

Who's Looking Now?

I just read my web stats.  Take a look at this.  The person who connected to my blog is in RED.

The person they searched for is in GREEN.

Someone at the Social Security Agency searched for Angela Silva of SRF.

Why someone at the SSA searched for Angela is anyone's guess.  Maybe that person had some time to kill and did some casual surfing.  Maybe that person is a long lost relative hoping to reconnect.  Who knows...

However as Angela Silva is as paranoid about the government and practically everyone else as was her mentor and lover Bill Duby, I would have to wonder where that fear came from and what she might have to fear from an agency who has a mandate to help you during your retirement or disability.

Of course if there is an official reason for Social Security to investigate, they won't tell us as it's between them and their target.  So I am not sure what that is all about.  You do have to wonder what's happening, though.

All About The Benjamins, and Your Name in Blood.

OK so in keeping with my theme, here's another hot chick.

This guy is more appropriate for this topic, I think.
He's the guy who tricked you into signing the contract for the Clairvoyant Training Program.

But this shot is more like how you'll feel after signing it:

and yeah, the Witches of Ellsworth will take vids and cam shots of your meltdown too.

So today, I'll bring up some real pain.  Pain so deep you'll wind up like that skinny emo moping about his flappy scene chick not wanting to listen to him read his ass poetry and contemplating a Kurt Cobain if he only had the balls to jack his dad's shotgun.

It's the infamous Clairvoyant Training Program contract in the flesh.  Well, actually on paper.  Not really on paper but it's a picture that looks like paper because it's black-and-white.

No one believes they have to shell out thousands up front to join the perverted class that warps all that used to be your heart, mind and soul.

No one believes you have to pay out over a thousand (at today's prices) to attend the prerequisite classes before you drop 2 large on the CTP.

Well, it's all there in print.

And the money comes out so easy.  Out of your pocket straight into the Witches' cauldron of evil.

There is so much just plain wrong about this contract, it's nauseating to think about it.  To make it even more painful, they forced us to read every word of this contract into a cheap-ass cassette recorder so they can listen to it and laugh at your capture.

If you want to take it home and read it over before you sign, forget it.  You'll never see this contract until it is waved in your face.  When it's time to renew, one of the uglier SRF-ies will wave the signature page in your face and growl: "I need you to sign this".

Want a cooling-off period where you can rescind the contract?  Are you kidding?  It's effective as soon as your pen hits the paper.

Remedies for SRF's non-compliance?  Come on, do you really expect a FAIR contract?

Bail-out clauses?  Force Majere?  Rights and duties?  Covenants?  Are you expecting SRF to give you a REAL contract?

According to this, if every one capable and empowered to teach the Clairvoyant Training Program is struck by lightning (and there are only a few left who can teach this crap) and there can be no CTP to attend, you still have to pay up.

I'd de-construct this mess tonight but I only have a half a bottle of Pepto Bismol and not quite enough Tylenol for the raging headache I'll get.

So my own commentary will be short today.  Every time I look at this perverse and utterly meaningless mess of semi-conscious pseudo-legal garbage I want to vomit.  Kind of like what happened when I signed it the first time.

And every nine months after that for the next ten damn years.

I hope you'll not have the same reaction.  But please be close to whatever container you have.  You'll need it to catch your lunch.

Before (or after) you lose your lunch, please let me know your own reaction to this crazy document.  All we readers of this blog would be interested in hearing from you.

Now if you don't mind, I'm going to go pray to the porcelain god...

The Purpose

Every once in a while, I am asked just what in hell I think I'm doing.

Yeah, I ask myself that too.

Of course, a lot of people ask that question as a challenge. And to them I say: because of people like you, I have to tell our side of the story so people who want to hear it may be informed. Well, actually I tell them to go blow themselves but as that is anatomically challenging, I had to think of something else.

For those with a few brain cells left, I'd give a far different answer.

Historically (at least until 2000), there has been very little information on the Spiritual Rights Foundation and the Academy for Psychic Studies. Also historically, the information available about these perverse and deluded organizations has been controlled by those organizations themselves.

Obviously, the minute public information and background of the Spiritual Rights Foundation and the Academy for Psychic Studies was overwhelmingly positive and presented a portrait of new-age mysticism with a good dose of down-home, All-American, good neighbor warmth and practicality.

Even now, there is a dearth of information on the Spiritual Rights Foundation and the Academy for Psychic Studies. It's such a small (but destructive) organization, there is not that much written about it. The Academy itself has reduced its public urination by ending print publication of their newspaper and ending the internet broadcasts of their radio shows and church services.

The dam showed some cracks when a courageous ex-follower of the cult revealed his own abuse and exploitation to the San Francisco Chronicle. Others followed. One article followed the tale of the ex-wife of a follower describing her own tortuous journey of life with a follower and the destruction that was left in his wake.

One other ex-member wrote a tell-all book faithfully and candidly exposing life behind the wrought iron gates of the Spiritual Rights Foundation.

Until recently, those were the only stories available to the public. For years, I wouldn't, couldn't write about what I saw and experienced. And even now, dozens of others cannot and will not speak of their experiences due to fear, embarrassment, and the threat of reprisals.

But now, this and other blogs describing the depravity, the relentless drive for money, the perversion of religious teachings, and the raw unrepentant exploitation the leaders visited on their followers exist.

And the book "Spiritual Perversion" is still available at Amazon in print (it is now available in e-book format for Kindle, iPhone and computer)

Now, the unvarnished truth is emerging. The ability for the prospective recruit to make an intelligent decision based on fact, experience and the honest opinion of those who traveled before them is at last available.

And that all circles back to why I am doing this.

It's simple: I want people to make intelligent choices - choices based on information and choices based on rational thought and the process of logic. I want people to make the correct choice for them and to have the resources and data available to choose.

If someone chooses to join the Spiritual Rights Foundation and attend classes at the Academy for Psychic Studies or ISHI Hypnosis after doing their research, that's fine. If they walk away, that's fine too.

However, the choices we all made: choosing to affiliate with an organization because of unproven psychic abilities or because we find one or two people there we like, because we fell for the lies, the deceit and the happy, happy faces reaching into our wallets is something I will not allow to happen again.

Which brings me to the purpose of this blog: I have pledged to give the public our side of the story. It is the story that the Spiritual Rights Foundation, Angela Silva and Robin Dumolin does not want you to hear. I tell the side of the story the above tried to suppress - then fell flat on their faces.

What I present here is true and the opinions I express are clearly protected by law. I proved it in court.

And I pledge to keep telling that story until not one more person falls victim to the plague of the Spiritual Rights Foundation and the Academy for Psychic Studies.

Please, make up your own mind. Take what I have in this blog and what you hear from SRF and the Academy with a grain of salt. Talk to others. Read media reports. Decide for yourself if the organization I revile is for you or not.

If you want to affiliate with them anyway, neither I nor anyone outside the cult will hound you to leave or corner you until you change your mind about the place. And if you do join, you are still welcome to tell us about your experience. I do not allow anyone to flame or degrade current members or ex-members. Your free speech rights are protected here - no matter who does or does not agree.

Or even if you have to say "I wish I had listened to you."

Thinking Green at the Academy for Psychic Studies

Originally Posted may 27, 2008

Here's what is happening at the Spiritual Rights Foundation:

There's a free healing clinic Mondays and Saturdays. At the clinic, you can receive a free energy healing, which can feel pretty good. While there, someone will engage you in a conversation and generally suggest that you take some of the beginning classes. Not a big deal there.

Those classes cost anywhere from $60 to $450 per course. OK, if you have some extra cash floating around and a few nights free what the hell, right?

If you'd like some real insight, you can get one of the aura readings by a student or other junior member for $60. An aura reading by a full staff member costs more. $80 for that. Again, if you have a night free for the reading you might want to do that for a laugh.

The real slippery slope happens if you keep coming back. And it's a sure bet that they will want you to keep coming back. Those courses and aura readings? Well, you'll need several of them if you want to grow and unfold in the SRF way.

After taking all the beginning classes then you are ready for the elite and highly valued "Clairvoyant Training Program" (CTP). That requires a commitment of time ranging from a few months to nearly a decade. And the costs are considerable.  The time commitment is considerable as well:  one three-hour night a week for class, another three-hour night a week for your "reading night", another three-hour night a week for "healing clinic", weekends spent being paraded in front of normal people as a highly trained psychotic, more weekends spent on $300 retreat weekends, "work hours" that range from 4 to 12 hours a week, "love projects" that take from 6 to 10 hours a week working for the leader's businesses for no pay (and you'd better "love" it - or else, as well as the mandatory weekly meetings for idiotic things like "who didn't clean up the turds left by the leader's dogs" and the mandatory special $150 classes for whatever the hell the leaders want you to sit through.

Did I forget to mention the weekly $75 a session trance classes, the all-night "spirit patrol" where you try to stay awake at 2AM while you wave your hands in the air and fart all night?

Well, that is the kind of thing that awaits the eager student in the Clairvoyant Training Program.  Sounds like fun, doesn't it?  It's even more fun while you try to hold down a job and maintain your relationships while you are having so much fun!

But you'll be willing to do it so you can prove yourself worthy of the Clairvoyant Training Program.  So many of us did just that, week in and week out for years and years.  We did it, though.  We did it so we can prove we can be a part of the spiritual elite of the Academy for Psychotic Studies.

And we felt honored to be accepted in the CTP, as only the best, the most worthy, the most capable and the most skilled as well as the most gullible were accepted into the program.

Upon your acceptance into the Clairvoyant Training Program (I have never heard of anyone being turned away - as long as you have the money to spend) you will sign a contract where you promise to be present at all the activities presented to you, participate in weekend or evening activities as required, pay a "down payment" that can be over $1000 and pay a monthly charge of $250 or more.

For the serious student, the length of the Clairvoyant Training Program will take several years. Odd, as this course is frequently called "the year class".  But  it will take several years for you to "blow your ten core pictures".  What those damn things are is anyone's guess.  My guess: those "ten core pictures" had to do with your willingness to cough up a lot of cash, give up any property you might own, hand over your children to the  warm and nourishing arms of Angela Silva and Robin Dumolin and live a life of poverty, disappointment, constant pressure and depression.  Hey - where do I sign up?

Graduates of the program may be ordained as ministers. Books are not required. A course of study is not required. No one knows what it takes to complete your studies and qualify for a ministerial title. If you "blow your pictures" and spend as much as desired by SRF, then you will be considered for graduation - if SRF has room for you to be a minister.

And they will as long as you have the ability to keep turning your head and coughing up a hell of a lot of money in the form of class fees of hundreds a month (some paid over $600) take a relaxing and refreshing retreat every month at a cost of $300, hand over up to 30% of your wages and rent a flea-bag ghetto apartment from Angela Silva at an inflated cost.  Well, you have to give to live, right?  when you are an Academy for Psychic Studies minister, you'll give all right.

Upon your graduation, you become ordained and are eligible to join yet another class which requires yet another advance payment and even more monthly payments with a further commitment of three to six days per week.

It is said that that you should never stop learning. I'm sure we all agree with that. The sense that you never stop paying as well is something we would all question.

Since the people at the top of SRF have no jobs and depend entirely on the income generated through the church, it doesn't take much to see that they would start to put their own interests first rather than think about any benefit to society or the people they should serve.

Well, their interests are becoming more and more focused on keeping up with the Joneses and maintaining themselves in luxury cars. The revenues at the Spiritual Rights Foundation seem to be dwindling and the membership looks to be slowing down bit by bit.

SRF depends on those revenues to maintain the operations and expand. When I attended the classes, up to twenty students per class was common. Lately, the number of new students in the Clairvoyant Training Program has been very low. Two current students have been attending for a number or years. One other student is there because he is married to a current SRF member. Apparently, three people consists of the entirety of the CTP class.

The rate of churn with that program has always been high. Many more leave the class than complete it. When people do leave, it's said to be because they could not blow their pictures or were more interested in sex or some other reason that made no sense. Many of those who left finally figured out that dropping a some long money and a couple of Benjamins a month starts to add up fast and that money is best spent on things more beneficial. And on things that will be at last, paid for.

Thanks to some negative publicity on SRF, their own inability to promote themselves and their nature to be insular and separated from society the amount of interest in SRF is starting to dwindle.

I say that is a good thing. Let's just let SRF wither on the vine and fade away into irrelevance. Maybe irrelevant is exactly where they are already.

Help Me I'm Melting

Does this clip tell you a bit about the condition of the Spiritual Rights Foundation and the Academy for Psychic Studies?

Maybe the fact there are NO students in the Clairvoyant Training Program, fewer ministers than any time in their history, less interest than ever and more criticism than they can possibly fathom has something to do with their meltdown.

Or maybe it's because they are just plain storefront psychics who do little more than swing around a Foster Farms chicken for your $300 donation.

Beats me, but I would imagine losing the defamation lawsuit they filed against me, you and all the people who participate in this blog may have been the bucket of cold water that melted the Wicked Witches of Ellsworth.

The dried-up women at the dried-up well

Now that the Academy for Psychic Studies is melting down like a Japanese nuclear power plant, I wonder just who's left there.

When I started, there were nearly 40 regular, devoted members.

Now, after all the defections there are maybe, like, what - EIGHT?

What happened here?

There aren't enough people to teach the introduction to mind control classes the Academy for Psychic Studies would faithfully and regularly make available every eight weeks.

There aren't enough people to keep Robin and Angela's farm from sinking into the swamp.

There aren't enough people to recruit new bodies to replace the old and worn ones.

The Witches of Ellsworth Street are reduced to picking the same pockets over and over again, hoping to get more than a pinch of lint.  When they go out to the well of public support, they find it dry.

They might think about holding a sign that says "Will Work For Psychic Readings" but that would mean they would have to work for it.  What they need are the willing bodies and pliant minds to carry out their mission of evil.  What they need even more is attractive, pleasant and enthusiastic people who the public would identify with.  Unfortunately, they aren't getting it.

They are running out of options.

What we are hearing on this blog, is that two of the Academy for Psychic Studies most enthusiastic and trusted lieutenants have flown the coop.

It's an unthinkable development no one could have predicted.  Maybe one of them would have bailed out, but both of them?

What does that say about the warm and nourishing environment of the Spiritual Rights Foundation?

And what about those two women at the top?

How much longer can they keep dipping into that dry well?

The Academy for Psychic Studies' Cease and Desist Letter is online

I sent a copy of the cease and desist letter I got from SRF to the Chilling Effects website.  Of course, the assertions by the Spiritual Rights Foundation/Academy for Psychic Studies didn't hold water.

Of all the stupid things they said in the cease and desist letter, the best one is "You should seek the advice of legal counsel without delay".

We did that, actually.  With the superior knowledge and leadership of our very talented first amendment attorney, we proceeded to kick the Witches of Ellsworth's asses with an anti-SLAPP motion they never saw coming and could not find a way to respond.

They got what they deserved.  We beat them and we won a motion to force them to pay for all our legal expenses.  I love it when they give us the stick to beat them with.

Take a look at this site.  The post is titled "Not So Spiritual After All"

http://www.chillingeffects.org/protest/notice.cgi?NoticeID=24402

It's amazing.  The Academy for Psychic Studies hides behind the First Amendment while they take advantage of everyone who comes in contact with them.  Avoiding taxes because they are a "church" while secretly taking advantage from social security, welfare and the county healthcare system; spreading their poisionous doctrine online, over the airwaves on TV and radio, through print and in recordings while working to deny the right of any of their critics to respond with their own side of the story are some examples of the sheer hypocricy and arrogance they show every day.

I just had to send their message on to a free speech site so everyone interested in the even-handed and fair application of the First Amendment can see how the Academy works to use it as sword.  So it makes sense that when they use the First Amendment to slay you, me and all of us in spirit, their sword not only misses, it comes back around to whack them in the head.  At least it didn't hit anything they were using.

I just love this site.  Go take a look at the letter and let me know what you think of it.

Until then, I have added this article to give you an idea of what kind of spiritual growth the Witches of Ellsworth Street give to their follower's children:

Family Last

I just had one of the best nights ever. My wife had a huge spa and game party at our house with all her female friends. My sister in law attended and brought along our 14 year old niece. My niece is obviously not one to look forward to an evening of mud facials and charades with women (GASP!) her MOTHER'S age. So, she decided to spend the evening with me.

It was great. I was thrilled to eat a dinner that was not exactly what I wanted because I got to have it with her. FYI, it was Taco Bell. But it seemed like Chez Panisse to me.

I took her to Blockbuster and let her choose two movies I would never have thought of watching. But I was eager to watch them because I would see them with her.

And the thrill in my heart when she called out (while making popcorn), "don't start the movies without me!" was more than I can describe.

All you parents out there (especially you dads) know exactly what I'm talking about. Every time I think about that night, I'm the happiest guy in the world.

But something crept into my consciousness. Something that turned my mood from ecstasy to sorrow.

It's the story of the dads I knew at the Spiritual Rights Foundation - the dads who never had the chance to experience the kind of joy I shared with my niece.

Members of the Spiritual Rights Foundation were encouraged to have children. In fact, the arrival of a child was celebrated. That seemed well and good at the time. It actually was one of the things that attracted many of us to SRF.

These dads also thought that was well and good. They thought having children was what SRF and their God wanted. And at first, it seemed they were correct.

After the baby arrived, it didn't talk long before the nights, weekends, holidays and every other available moment of every SRF dad began to fill with "love projects", ministerial duties, meetings, classes, construction projects, destruction projects, and any other kind of activity the leaders of the Spiritual Rights Foundation could imagine.

The parents - the dads especially, got no more than a whisper of time with their children. Nearly nothing. No evenings at Taco Bell with Blockbuster movies. Not much of anything at all. I saw kids on their own most of the time. Some of them were not only playing without parents nearby but some were without parental support. While the Spiritual Rights Foundation and its leaders kept the parents busy with tasks for the benefit of SRF, there were kids on their own to feed and clothe themselves. I've fed some of those kids after discovering they missed meals. And after seeing some of them working at the SRF farm in winter without warm clothes and dry shoes, I dug into my pocket to buy them parkas and boots.

What's worse, while couples conceiving children was encouraged at SRF, having a relationship with your own children was not.

The relentless, psychotic drive to serve the church and its leaders always took first place in the lives of the followers. It didn't matter if you had a family - your life was the leader's life. If you dared pay a small amount of attention to your family and your child, the consequences could be dire.

This excerpt from Steve Sanchez's book, "Spiritual Perversion" illustrates my point:

-----------------------------------------------------------

One night I insisted we go as a family to the movies together. It took us a week and a half to find a night that we could both go. We went to the movies and had a good time. Afterward I felt a little high, that maybe things were going to go my way now, and maybe we would even have sex for the first time in a long time.

When we got home ******* called and said I had missed [church] band practice. She was angry. I had forgotten we were supposed to have band practice that night [at SRF headquarters]. She told Ang, and Ang told Rev. Bill, and the next day I paid the consequences.

Ang called [my wife] and drilled her on what I had done. Then Rev. Bill talked to her. It was clear things were looking very, very bad for me. I got that horrible, devastating feeling of searing fear and worthlessness in my gut. I couldn’t believe they were overreacting to everything like this. It was all so insane. [my wife] came out of all this it clean. They blamed me. Rev. Bill told [my wife] I had soul sickness, and that I was putting my dick before the beginning students.

When I was preparing to go to Santa Clara she told me not to go. She said Rev. Bill said I was taken off Santa Clara as the Director because they couldn’t trust me with the beginning students. Now I was useless and had nothing to do. Rev. Bill told [my wife], “I told you so. You can’t trust men. I try and to set you up in the an apartment together, and his ego immediately goes out of control trying to get his dick wet.”

After being pounded by Rev. Bill, [my wife] told me she was kicking me out of the apartment until I got my head straight. I told her that she she couldn’t do that to me, that things were just starting to get better. But she was like a stone. She wouldn’t budge. I was told to go live in the mobile home on Russell Street. I had gone from prestige to hell- like that. Out of nowhere. The misery and devastation of this was intolerable. I don’t know how I withstood it; I just floated through the pain. The thought of leaving remotely occurred to me, but this place was my whole life. I was tied into it by everything— my marriage, my job, my friends, my church, my teacher, my daughter. It was most crushing to me that my daughter saw me this way and that I would be living away from her again. We had lived there together for just two months.
--------------------------------------------------------

That was Steve's consequence for putting his family first. No one but a crazed, psychotic lunatic would have gone to those lengths to punish a man for daring to maintain his family's integrity. And Steve's story is not unique. I've seen other parents given task after task and responsibility after responsibility and project after project with no regard to giving time for them to raise their children. In fact, the children were often brought to the Spiritual Rights Foundation headquarters and dumped in an empty room alone or left to run wild on the premises while their parents were gathered together and led deep into a beneficial and positive guided trance state or engaged in a task for the benefit of the cult

Later, as the children grew, they were left an hour away working on the farm at Bethel Island while their parents were busy at SRF headquarters in Berkeley.

But those children did receive attention. Certainly not much from the parents (especially the fathers). So if not from the parents, who?

We often heard from Rev. Bill Duby that his role was to "father us from above". And "father" he did.

Bill seemed to surround himself with the children of his followers. Whenever he had the opportunity, he'd do something with "the kids". Although Bill had a child of his own, he never considered the children of his followers to be merely his daughter's playmates. After watching him with his follower's children I knew: he insinuated himself as the "father" of his follower's children and worked diligently to replace their real fathers by speaking often of how the real fathers were not "real" fathers and how "real" his "fathering" was.

The behavior became sickening. Bill would take the children to carnivals and fairs while their parents would toil away at cult projects or activities. Every Halloween, Bill would gather the children for a hearty round of trick-or-treating while the fathers were directed to teach classes, perform manual labor or do some other work for the cult. And while his followers slaved promoting Bill's agenda, he would speak ill of them to the children. The relationship between the fathers and their children became so strained because of that, at night, the kids would ignore their fathers and run to give Bill a goodnight hug.

Disgusting.

At any rate, why one would deliberately and methodically insert himself into the relationship between father and child is just too sick to ponder.

But now Bill is dead, is the insertion of SRF leadership into the family unit a thing of the past?

When an ex-member announced their intention to leave the cult and begin a new life of their own it was said the leadership replied the departure would be allowed on one condition: the soon-to-be-ex-member's child must be delivered to SRF headquarters immediately when summoned. I won't say why. It's disgusting enough to know a child would be used as chattel, depersonalized to the level of a poker chip.

I have heard a tale of a young couple with a young child - a toddler. While the mother is summoned to her weekly (and never-ending) class, the little toddler is whisked away to the leader's residence and kept there until the mother is finished with her class. What happens there is anyone's guess. One observation is Bill's daughter (now an adult) "plays" with the little toddler. You may have noticed the word "babysit" was not used. I didn't hear the word "babysit" either. I heard from other ex-members the word "plays". While I'm sure I would not just give up MY child, given what I have seen happen, I would have to wonder why anyone would just leave a toddler with a child who grew up to be no more than a child.

I mean, how many of us would have just dropped our kids off with Michael Jackson?

It also seems likely the leaders of the Spiritual Rights Foundation are developing a "relationship" and are "bonding" with the child. For what purposes is not clear. But if history is any example, someone may be "mothering from above" just like a certain dead preacher.

I remember one girl who's father was involved in a custody case. For the years before this child's plight was brought to family court, Robin Dumolin spent time with her. A lot of time. So much, Robin was heard to say "I am ******'s spiritual mother." During a hearing to determine custody, Robin appeared unnanounced and un-called for. She arrived to support the child in the hope of pursuading the court to deny any contact with her father. Robin's reason? She didn't have one. At least not a legal reason. Robin just didn't want to give up her time so the child could be with her father.

The father did absolutely nothing to endanger his daughter. Ever. There was just no legal reason to deny him a relationship with his own child. But in the vast wasteland of Robin's mind, this father had no right to be a father if that right kept Robin from doing every thing possible to push a father out of his daughter's life.

Robin announced to the cult members gathered at family court she was more of a mother to this girl than either parent was a parent. Then entered the courtroom with the rest of the SRF lynch mob to conduct energy techniques via hand waves and gestures intended to influence the judge. The judge had them thrown out.

You tell me if the crazy cycle of insertion and replacement started by Rev. Bill Duby is continuing.

Well, I can tell you from my observations at the Spiritual Rights Foundation: if I had kids while I was at SRF, I could kiss them. Once. Kiss them goodbye. Goodbye forever.

And that thought, those tales of lost children and heartbroken parents made that one night with my niece all the more special.

Wow, devastating but true. Way to go to the core Mike. Read the chapter called 'My Child' in my book, that was the most gutwrenching and difficult part to write. But also read at the end when I am walking down the street and my daughter talks to me about the flag football game I just coached her in. That was fatherly ecstacy, the beginning of normalcy - profound redemption -, after years and years of pain and humiliation. I can only say, I am reminded of the darkness and death Christ overcame in his birth and resurrection, giving us the chance to live in light and hope. Steve

One of the sicker things I learned of was an incident that happened during one of the many child custody and welfare cases. The court was working to give one of the fathers some time with his child. During the hearing, Robin Dumolin - who is not a relatve of the child in any way, showed up in support of - THE CHILD. Robin was heard to say jsut before the hearing "I am more of a mother to [the child] than anyone else" and proclaimed herself as this child's "spiritual mother" to members of SRF. Robin never really got to do much in the way of proclamation in court, though. A cadre of SRF members invaided the courtroom and began waving their hands, performing spiritual influence over the court. Bailiffs promptly arrived to throw them out of the courtroom. Robin had to leave as well. Her "mothering" related to doing all the things a real mother would do while the real mother was toiling away at a cult project, attending a cult class or fulfilling a cult-assigned responsibility. She would feed, entertain, educate and all those things mothers usually do - but without the mother. What actually went on there is anyone's guess. And why she made that attempt to insert herself into the mother-child relationship is also anyone's guess. If you had a child, I have to ask you: is it worth it to lose your child in that way? Do you want someone to take YOUR place in YOUR child's heart, mind and soul? If you would, WHY? The SRF leaders reduce YOU to no more than your child's DNA provider and nanny. You provide clothes, housing and medical care for your child, they provide the rest. Where does that leave your child? Is your child an object to mold, shape and use for the unknown purpose or desire of another person? And where does that leave YOU? Would you want to wait until your child is a teen or young adult to pull them away from that kind of situation? Or would you be courageous and stand up for your child? You know the answer. I'll stand up with you.

It seems that things have become to much to rev. Robin. Calling herself "spiritual Mother" - she was not that crazy when I was there. She was more of a nerd, a background person, to serve rev. Bill. SRF was then a spiritual place and no one wanted to have steady realitionships or family, they wanted to serve the SRF. Some men where having several women among the group, but there was no marriages. Those who were married were split up. The Anast familey, that I worked for seemed to forget about their children totally when I started to work for them, and I sure could have used some more time off. I was still a teen ager and for me it was to much work to take care of tree children day and night. I had to take over totally and do what both the mother and father and grandparents does. Of course this was not good for the children eather. I would not call myself a "Spiritual mother", it sounds really like a nut case to me. Something I got irritated with in the U.S being an au-pair, is that women give birth to a child and then leaves it with some other woman to care for. I have been thinking about it, is it a tradition from the time of black slaves, when even a slave woman breast feed some white womans child? Is it something that women force on each other as a tradition, because their mothers did so? It sure would not be more expensive for a mother to stay home for one year after she have had a child. To have a car and to hire babysitter or daycare for the child probably cost more. A small toddler is still dependent of its mother, it does not feel ok without her, because it came out of her body and cant tell itself apart from her as a new born. For a toddler to be separated from the mother more than a few hours can harm the child. At SRF they are extreme, even for the U.S. Children starve there. This children, I dont think that they will be like other humans when they grow up. Some of them will probably never adjust to society. Schizofrenics have wierd uppbringing, the uppbringing of a child is very important. At SRF they are thought from beginning to have a psycotic wiew of life. I am so sorry that I was there, and part of this dirt. Once pulled in it was difficult to leave though. I was young and pulled into something that I could not handle, the control they would have over you, and that everybody knows that have been there. If I had been able to, I would have left a lot earlier.

The sins of our fathers, brothers, cousins, uncles, hell, any guy you ever met

Updated, April 28

I found an old comment on another post that looks relevant. I nearly forgot about it.

to the poor dudes who get sucked into this cult (at last count 5 were left) there is nothing but misery for them Isiah 3:12 it is said"as for my people, children are their oppressors, and women rule over them. o my people, they which lead thee cause thee to err, and destroy the way of thy paths " it says it all, persecuted by the kids most of whom aren't even yours and ruled over by the women who are all man haters. wives don't let your men have this kind of misery and if you hate your men so at least get divorced, its better. if you have children they will be turned against you, look to history as an example

After making the realization about how the Spiritual Rights Foundation was said to be created as "a place for women so men can benefit" I made another realization about the founding of this dysfunctional and worthless organization and the phenomenon of "projection".

Now before you start jumping up and down, I know projection is a real behavioral condition recognized by the psychological profession. The term "projection" has been thrown around here there and everywhere from Dr. Phil to "The Real World" whenever someone gets offended. If you listen to the talk show and "reality" show contestants you'd think it's an epidemic.

And if you read the "response" from the SRF "experts" in "projection" you might start wondering if they were watching too much Dr. Phil, Dr. Laura, Dr. Who, Dr. House or maybe they need a doctor themselves.

So I started thinking about where the "projection" thing came from. The below article was originally posted last year - well before the Spiritual Rights Foundation concocted the response to this blog from their addled minds.

In it, I pointed out every woman there seems to hold every grudge they ever held against every man they ever knew against every man at the Spiritual Rights Foundation until every act of this man is submissive and compliant to the iron rule of the fair sex - all with the encouragement of Bill Duby and the women he appointed as leaders.

Now is this an expression of my own prejudices?  Am I merely projecting my own inadequacies as a male upon women?    Is my observation another in my long line of anti-woman and anti-freedom rantings?

Go back and smoke more of whatever it is you have in that pipe, then come back and ask me again.

If you have read this blog, in fact if you can read at all, you will see I'm speaking from the stance of simple fairness.  And fairness goes both ways.  I'll treat you with the kind of courtesy, respect, and equality as you are willing to give to myself and those around you.  I have a hard time believing that is a projection.

The definition of "projection" psychology-wise has something to do with"the operation of expelling feelings or wishes the individual finds wholly unacceptable—too shameful, too obscene, too dangerous—by attributing them to another." Freud: A Life for Our Time, page 281.

I'm not at all convinced we ex-members of SRF are projecting our psychological closet of hidden shame by saying Bill Duby was a deranged psychopath (especially since Bill himself boasted of his mental illness). I'm not convinced we are guilty of projection when I and the scores of other ex-members of the Spiritual Rights Foundation recall the incidents we witnessed and the insane and psychotic abuses of the members in exactly the same way.

I think the leaders of the Spiritual Rights Foundation (all women) were set loose to enforce an agenda of mind control, financial abuse and psychological abuse in the guise of spiritual healing and obedience to the founder and pastor of the Spiritual Rights Foundation.

And by bringing out the "projection" topic whenever someone says these empresses  have no clothes is clearly an attempt to distract attention and divert the conversation into something else - like away from the evil, vile and abusive practices of the Witches of Ellsworth.

So, if you can believe the women of the Spiritual Rights Foundation are encouraged to unleash their inner, uh, whatever it is onto the SRF men ("don't trust a man if he is breathing" Bill would say) you might understand what warped and bizarre process was dancing around in their coconuts as they wrote their "response".

And the below article may help you understand the environment at SRF and what happens to a person's mind while you and those around you play a game of dominance and submission that never ends and no one can win.

===========================================

I just realized something.

The founder of the Spiritual Rights Foundation said frequently that SRF was founded "as a place for women for the benefit of men". After hearing that for the umpteenth time, I started to wonder just how we men are benefiting.

The Spiritual Rights Foundation encouraged distrust and conflict with couples. Almost every couple I knew there either wound up in divorce or some other kind of traumatic breakup if not married. Couples were put together by the leader, then torn apart.

A few survived. My wife and I, for example, met in the cult and are together for the long haul. No thanks to SRF, though. They ripped us apart. Then later, after all the public turmoil over divorces and child custody battles came up, they stayed out of the way. Odd coincidence, huh? Oh, right. There are no coincidences in the universe. Silly me.

Anyway, the church held the view that all men are evil and are liars, cheats, thieves and sex fiends. Women were counseled nearly every day: "you know a man is lying because his lips are moving" or "you can never trust men". The woman's role was to keep the men in line.

The man's role was to say "yes dear", and to be "the head of the woman".

As we interpreted those vague phrases we were to shut up and let the woman do what she wants. While we did that, we had to be the "head of the woman" to reinforce the teachings of the church by living and upright and church-worthy life while demanding your spouse do the same. The advice was to "Keep 'em busy. They'll cause trouble otherwise". So we men were advised to have our spouses go out and work outside the home and make sure their off time was filled with wholesome church activities. Even if they were needed at home for thing like child rearing (or even baby rearing) while you went out to earn a day's pay. Even if the only work they can do is menial, underpaid work. Even if your spouse is trying to educate herself (as mine was and is still).

You had to make her go out and work. And while she worked, she was required (by spiritual law) to give up the tithe to the church. You, as the man had the unenviable job of enforcement.

The women were told to control their men and to force the man to do whatever it is the woman wanted them to do. Even the impossible. I was frequently berated, screamed at, had objects thrown at me because I had fallen ill with heart failure (an illness I still am treated for today) and had a difficult time working a high pressure professional job.The church wanted me to give and give big. My wife wanted me to work hard. Really hard. Hard enough to satisfy her demands (which were considerable with college tuition, basic needs, transportation and car needs as well as her need for entertainment and travel) and hard enough to satisfy the Spiritual Rights Foundation (who, as it turns out, is insatiable).

There was no way I could perform to that impossible level - I had a hard enough time breathing, walking and just trying to live. Many other guys were finding it difficult or impossible to satisfy both SRF and their spouses. Many were struggling. Most were on the brink of financial disaster every day of the week. None thrived.

Yet, they were pressed to do more. Pressed to give more. Pressed to make possible the impossible. And all the while they all tried to do as they were told: be the head of the woman.

Now if that isn't a set up for conflict, what is? Two people battling for control of the other is like the two toughest kids on the block. Sooner or later, they're going to fight.

The women were "counseled" to engage in activities that would maintain control. If the man would make some kind of transgression like not attending all the SRF events or working sufficiently hard at the SRF ranch, the women could withhold affection, withhold sex, withhold time with that man's children, scream, berate and demean him using all of the most vile and hostile methods available - anything to force the man into submitting to the SRF will.

Wives and significant others could argue with their spouse over any small issue as long as that issue would promote the operations and cause of SRF. Like working your ass off at a farm (actually owned by the church leadership - not the church itself) digging holes or pulling weeds for no pay and without even a thin sandwich at the end of the day.

Anyway, I'm not writing about slave labor. I'm writing about that "so men can benefit" part. Come to think of it, that pretty much devolves into slave labor too.

How does a man benefit if he has to submit to the SRF will, enforced by the person he is closest to? And what kind of benefit do you receive?

I never figured it out.

Men paid out hundreds, sometimes over a thousand dollars a month to be "in the energy". That money went to classes, "clinic healings", readings, special seminars, recordings. books. And the tithe. Not to mention all the money spent on church owned apartments. The men had to get their spouses to work outside the home, even if they had small children or infants at home, in order to afford all the things the church demanded they pay for. And of course, a working spouse is commanded by the Supreme Being to pay 10% of that hard earned wage to the church.

The men were used for all the physical work. And there was a lot of it. Men had to donate time to perform construction or other physical work on church properties for no compensation. Some of those properties weren't really church properties. The SRF Farm wasn't an SRF Farm - it was owned by Angela Silva and Robin Dumolin. Meals while working were the individual's responsibility. Sometimes, you had to work then attend a "class" for several hours (for which you paid a fair amount - a very fair amount), or do even more work for SRF in other ways.

And after all that, you had the pleasure to go home and say "yes dear" to your spouse while you figure out how to be the head of the woman.

After all the church activities and hard work, most guys were too exhausted and their will too deeply diminished to even try to be keep spouses in control. They were berated as being "eunuchs", "lazy minded" or any one of a number of insults.

To keep your status and stay out of the SRF doghouse (see the "Pink Prison" entry) you had to keep your head down and do what you are told. That meant total dedication to the whims of SRF and total submission to their will.

And your spouse was the one to enforce that will. If you didn't go along, SRF would be sure you will come home to a cold, distant or even hostile spouse.

I guess that is the benefit. Break the will, break the man. With dysfunctional women (all with a history of bad relationships) in charge, the men are paying for the sins of others.

I'm sure other female-led organizations are well run and stress equality. I'm not indicting any of them. But if you are a woman and are constantly told that you can't trust men and that they are liars, cheats, thieves and sex fiends in severe need of control and must be made submissive, how would you behave towards men? Are those kinds of demeaning statements common in our society? And aren't those kinds of statements universally unacceptable? Not at SRF.

All the women at the Spiritual Rights Foundation believed it, because those statements were made by the male leader of the cult. So, since Bill Duby said it, it must be true.

It's still there. One guy who was thought to be aggressive and had a beef with women in general (because of his child custody dispute with his ex-wife, which is still ongoing years later) was "worked on" to remove his aggression. He later married a church member after being declared to have the "wolves cleansed from his space".

So how about it? Does equal rights for women include punishing a man for sins committed by another who that man never knew? Does the practice of guilt by association used by the Un-American Activities Committee remain acceptable? It it fair to create equality through punishment?

In the SRF world, it is. There is no such thing as fairness. No such thing as equality. No such thing as forgiveness. If you are a man, YOU WILL pay for the sins of your gender.

My ancestors were locked up in a concentration camp for the duration of WWII. Would it be fair if I locked YOU up in a barbed wire compound to live in a tar-paper hut with a wood burning stove for heat and no indoor plumbing because your ancestors imprisoned mine? Should YOU be punished for the racism and hatred your ancestors conducted against mine?

Of course not. You had nothing to do with the sins of your ancestors.

Because we as a nation regard that period of incarceration as a shameful act (well, everyone except Michelle Malkin, I guess), my family and I forgave that treatment long ago. Even now, there are efforts to make amends - my father has been conferred an honorary degree from the California Polytechnic University because he was sent to an internment camp soon after he started there.

Because of that recognition of responsibility, we decided to move on with our lives despite the past. We did leave the painful past behind. We did let go of invalidation.

Why is it that the Spiritual Rights Foundation can't begin their own process of amends?

The behaviors of one man or one woman can't condemn a whole population.  The Witches of Ellsworth  want their followers to believe their bad experiences apply to all women and that any person sharing even one of the characteristics of the people who wronged them are as evil as the real perpetrators.

So at the Spiritual Rights Foundation, men must take a submissive role to survive and women take on the same behavior as the people they hated.
