The Academy for Psychic Studies - Tit forTat

Did you say tit for tat?
uhhh... TAT!

A short one today.

Back in the day (actually just a few years ago) when there were a few people left who could walk and chew gum at the same time, the psychotic Academy for Psychic Studies taped a series of idiotic shows for distribution on local community access cable TV channels.

The two on-camera "talent" spent 30 minutes rambling, fumbling and otherwise appearing like turds or idiots, spouting the benefits of the psychotic Academy on a show named "Paranormal Connection".

Lucky for me, I pulled the EJECT handle just before this mess was produced, sparing me the kind of public embarrassment you'd have when you step in dog shit.

Too bad for the people appearing on "Paranormal Connection", they will have to spend a lot of time scraping their shoes on the curb.

"Paranormal Connection" no longer runs on cable community access.  Partly because there isn't any interest in producing more of these nauseating shows, partly because I used the Academy for Psychic Studies' own video, audio, print and online materials to crush them in court - causing them to cancel all broadcasts of "Paranormal Connection" but mostly because almost all of the people who appeared in these examples of brain-rot have quit the cult.

I preserved one of these worthless shows. So if you would like to see what "Paranormal Connection" used to be, you can follow this link:

I won't embed this video here for reasons that are all my own.  Take a look anyway.  You might recognize someone.

The Academy for Psychic Studies - Money for Nothing

Go on, click it!

So, I came by this little homage to the warm and nourishing hearts of Angela Silva, the president of the Academy for Psychic Studies and by association, Robin Dumolin, chief nickel counter.

On first read, this letter seems like a warm and nourishing statement of support for a poor, downcast member of the cult's platoon of drooling vegetables.

However, do take note of the highlighted statement: "We've noticed you are keeping up with your financial commitment..."

Now, many members of legitimate churches receive letters of support from their church leaders.  Most of them are hand-written as they offer a personal touch and a sense of humanity to their message.  The pastors I have known would not hesitate to make a personal visit or place a call when they find a member who needs their counsel and support.

Not a damn one of them gives a shit how much fucking money that member has or has not paid.

None are impressed with a member's bank account and none would be so crass, greedy and overall intrusive as to check a parishioner's accounts for outstanding debts or even keep a running tab on who owes what.

A church is not a fucking bank.  A church isn't goddamn accountant.  And it damn well doesn't give a flying fuck about providing service only to those who pay.

However the Witches of Ellsworth Street hang a picture Ebenezer Scrooge on their wall to provide daily inspiration to put business first, provide no sense of comfort and security to their insipid and entranced staff members and ensure anyone who they may reach out a gnarled hand towards crosses it with silver first.

I mean, once in the dead of winter, with the house freezing, with students, staff and the single visiting member of the public shivering and cold, I turned on the heater.  As soon as she entered the main area of Academy for Psychic Studies HQ, Angela Silva noticed the heater was running - AND TURNED THE FUCKER OFF.

Robin, not to be outdone in the area of parsimony, was seen with a bag of quarters collected from her half-sized coin-op washers (which meant you needed to run two loads just to wash your fucking socks) and coin-up candy machines (with treats so goddamn old, the Hershey bars were not only grey, the "HERSHEY" embossed in them had melted into "HEY") and proceed to count them, one at a time BY HAND.  My wife purchased a simple coin counter at Staples for $4.  That's $4 Robin could have used to buy a latte, so why the fuck should she spend it on something PRODUCTIVE?

And why should either Robin Dumolin or Angela Silva waste their precious time on a person in need of spiritual support, a pastoral pep talk, a little psychic assistance when they haven't made good on their inflated account balance?

Why shouldn't Angela Silva and Robin Dumolin ensure the financial state of their charges are sound and their bill-paying habits are timely and conscientious?  After all, you have to put business first.  They have to keep the doors open.  They are only following the imaginary dictate of Bill Duby's make-believe mentor Lewis Bostwick to "always make 'em pay".

And pay you will.  If you are in need of psychic assistance or a spiritual uplift, the assistance you receive and how high you be lifted up depends on how deep you can reach into your pocket.

in that letter of support, the Witches of Ellsworth Street have clearly and unequivocally made a determination that the subject of their idiotic attempt of superficial support was indeed financially worthy and monetarily able to support their evil agenda should be all you need to know about the true motives of Angela Silva and Robin Dumolin.

That's no surprise - we knew that already.

So I guess I am repetitive you fucking SRF troll!

On the other hand, take a look at this comment left by none other than PsychDoctorate:

One question we should all be asking is why do they charge for their classes and so many other things which in all due respect should either be free or you should only pay a miniscule amount for.

Most meditation teachers and Sangha's charge very little to teach you proper meditation techniques. They have talks which cover so many topics from moral behavior, stages of meditation to living a virtuous life.

None of this is taught in places like SRF or BPI.

Nope never is!

If it were to be taught you had better beleive that they would not behave in such unethical, immoral and illegal fashions.

Morals and ethics go out the window when you are dealing with Narcissistic and anti-social individuals. It is usually the first thing to go.

Buyer beware!

Forgive the Academy for Psychic Studies? Forget it!

You know, every once in a while some asshole comes in and starts howling about how we ex-members of the Academy for Psychic Studies should just forget what happened, thrust our hand on our pockets and shuffle off silently without ever speaking ill of the abuses, the exploitation and the deep betrayal we have all experienced.

"Live and Let Live" is the warped mantra they usually chant.  Live your life and let the Witches of Ellsworth live theirs without MY blog and without MY commentary and without the interference of ME exposing the harmful and destructive practices that are the hallmark of the Academy for Psychic Studies.  These individuals want to never hear the empresses have no clothes.  They won't stand for anyone standing tall and standing up.  They won't ever tolerate or accept that anyone could say anyone could possibly be wrong or that they have disrupted and destroyed lives.  Such an idea would not be possible in the esoteric world of the spiritually elite where all beings are good and perfect as they are.

All persons that is, except for me and those of us who speak out.  We are the spiritually deficient and should be blamed for all the troubles of the world and must be lynched from the nearest tree at the earliest opportunity.

So much for "forgive and forget", "live and let live" I guess.  I find it amazing that anyone would believe those pithy aphorisms apply to all but myself and you who follow my blog.  Sill, I wonder what might be that person's reaction when the things that happened to us happen to them?

Probably exactly like ours.

I've just had a really bad experience with my sister-in-law.  She and her daughter lived with us for a while and completely disrupted our home, our marriage and our lives.  The behavior of the daughter was more than obnoxious, it was abusive, degrading and absolutely unacceptable.  My sister-in-law denied anything was wrong, excused the daughter's behavior and when pressed, turned around and blamed the girl's bad behavior on ME saying she would not be in that state if I would just "live and let live".

WTF?

It was my insistence that the 14 year old girl do some simple and quick chores around the house to integrate her into family life at our home, my intolerance of her wearing her iPod at the dinner table and frequently insulting her family members, my distaste for her smoking and drug use, my strong opinion that her 0.0 GPA was not only poor academic performance but should be addressed with extra support and attention from her school that was so rude, intrusive, uncaring and non-supportive that all the stress and ills in my sister-in-law and niece's lives were indeed a result of my less-than-spiritual and unenlightened persona.

I guess it was my behavior that prompted my wife to say "We are NOT having kids!  We CANNOT risk having a kid like HER!" and "If that girl turns up at our door - YOU KEEP IT SHUT!"  Although I am not the girl's parent, her problems are all my fault.  Makes sense to me.  My sister-in-law must be right.  I should have my balls cut off as penance.

I think those of you who knew me at the Academy for Psychic Studies recall how much time I spent with the children there.  And you may recall my conduct with them.  You may recall that I went out of my way to teach one kid basic writing and spelling skills, I fed some who's parent forgot to serve them meals, I clothed several when they worked in the freezing cold.  And yes, I wouldn't stand for them wearing iPods at dinner, insulting family, smoking, drug use, drinking alcohol or ignoring their education either.

What in hell does all that have to do with this post?  And why am I wasting space defending myself against another ludicrous accusation?

Recall that first paragraph.  "Forgive and Forget"  "Live and Let Live"  Stay silent.  Leave the Witches of Ellsworth alone.  And worse of all: you are the real person who is to blame.

My sister-in-law threw a brick like that at me as she was packing up and moving out of the house (thankfully - the moving out, that is, not the brick throwing) and I was cleaning up cigarette butts, marijuana leaves and vodka bottles from my niece's bedroom.  So I figured it would be a good topic for this blog.

The spiritually deluded like to see the real world as something to be feared and the esoteric and dreamy world of the spiritual is so perfect none can make even a mild criticism of an organization like the Spiritual Rights Foundation.

Ask Jeff, the Psychdoctorate about the trolls he has to deal with.  Every one of them calls HIM out as the villain.  Some say they never saw anything out of the ordinary right after they say they never bothered to take a look around.  Others call Jeff names and insult his honesty.

Look at Joy's blog.  The ex-bishops adult daughters never offered correction or even tried to engage in any kind of dialog.  They just insulted her in every way possible.

The spiritually enlightened are above it all. They are above reality and above reason and certainly above any call for them to behave reasonably.

I've been thinking it over for a lot of time, now.  There is just no understanding the people who just want us to shut the hell up and there is no way to reason with them.

I left a comment on the Psychdoctorate's blog replying to this little gem:

I didn't know Lewis or have anything to do with him. However, to have an entire site dedicated to destroying someone who is dead, seems sad some how. I hope that you will learn to forgive and forget as I would hope you will suggest to your future patients.

"Forgive and Forget" seems pretty presumptuous coming from someone who admits she doesn't know Lewis Bostwick or has had anything to do with him (and likely had little experience with BPI either).
I'd imagine that commenter has not been in an abusive or exploitative relationship.
Would this person simply be able to turn away, "forgive and forget" when the realization finally washes over them that they were used and abused?
Or would that person turn to a therapist? Would that therapist listen patiently for an hour and dispense the helpful advice "well, just forgive and forget" before thrusting his hand out for his fee and tossing you out the door?
Those who personally experienced Lewis Bostwick and his crazier graduates can speak volumes of the abuse and mistreatment they suffered.
Much more than a few suffer after-effects such as PTSD, insomnia, depression, anxiety and more (like suicide attempts).
Jeff is performing his civic duty and his moral obligation to warn prospective members of BPI of the practices that occur behind closed doors (and the practices at BPI continue even after Bostwick's death). He has not only made his story public but has provided a forum for others who suffered similarly to make sense of the experience and begin the healing process.
I'll be sure to pass on your advice to "forgive and forget" to those who are experiencing PTSD, depression, anxiety and insomnia. I'm sure they will appreciate your thoughful and compassionate advice, you fucking tool.

I think that's the think right there.  There are people with a deluded sense that all will be well if they believe all is well.  Didn't the Academy for Psychic Studies tell you the same while they picked your pocket and slapped you in the face?

Doesn't thinking all is well when your world is crumbling around you smack of delusion?

And won't your positive thinking positively distract your attention towards something not-so-well while you ignore the things you would have to address?

For me, it's not easy or anything less than painful to re-live those experiences at the Academy for Psychic Studies.  It's not easy to reconcile myself with the thought that several good people at the Academy will never leave and will never escape the exploitation.  It's shameful to reflect upon all that I lost and what little I gained (apart from my marriage, of course).

I would like to forgive and forget, live and let live.  But how can I do forget and how can I "let live" while those who have cause so much pain and destroyed so many lives continue to loot and pillage?

When there is wrongdoing in the world, we must address it.  When one is on a path of destruction whether they destroy only themselves or those they encounter, we have the duty to address that behavior for the good of the fabric of our society and to uphold the decency we stand for as Americans.

As for my sister-in-law, I'm not too hopeful she will admit the responsibility to recognize and act to correct her daughter's behavior problems lay with her and her alone.  While her daughter's school and mental health professionals announced their eagerness to help, she minimized the problem and obstructed any support.

Despite her protests, the daughter's school intervened (at my insistence) and are providing assistance without her agreement (which they can do if the need exists and the parent is uncooperative).  I hope my sister-in-law will cooperate with the school and other officials who are attempting to bring her daughter out of the darkness of substance abuse and anti-social behavior.  I'm not too hopeful of that either.

I'll never get a trophy for that action, for standing up to save the life of a teen girl.  I don't expect many accolades for standing up to save those who may fall victim to the Academy for Psychic Studies either.  And I certainly can't expect a pat on the back from any current or most former members of the Academy for Psychic Studies.

Almost every one of the ex-members absolutely hate the Academy for Psychic Studies (so do many current members).  Yet most are too afraid to speak up and they will never acknowledge me - unless they want to make a stupid complaint based on unfounded rumors.

And while they remain silent in their hate of the Academy, they still demonize me for things even they don't understand.

Thanks to the indescribably horrific experience at the Academy for Psychic Studies, their fear of the world continues.  As well as their fear of the Academy.

And as my sister-in-law fears and distrusts those who want to do nothing more than help save her daughter, the ex-SRF-ies stand in fear and distrust of anyone who has the courage to speak out against our tormentors to help those who may fall victim avoid our fate.

But still, let's all "forgive and forget".  Let's all "live and let live".  Let's all allow those who disrupted lives and caused emotional trauma to continue to feed on more victims.

I'll forgive the Academy for Psychic Studies when the exploitation and abuse ends.

Why?

Can you forgive one who can't abuse you anymore but abuses your friend so severely he has PTSD?  Can you forgive one who can't steal from you but still takes from those you care about?  Can you forgive those who would keep old men with money hanging on closely in the hope they can snatch a few shekels from his grave?

Until that behavior is addressed and is corrected, there is no purpose for forgiveness - there is only the opportunity for correction.  Even God will only forgive a sin only after the sin is acknowledged and renounced (sorry for getting all religious on you).

Can you forgive a thief who says, "Yeah, I know I stole all your money but since you are broke now, I won't steal from you anymore - I'll just steal from someone else!"  Uhh... let's think - NO!

But if that same thief said, "I'm sorry I stole from you.  I spent all the money I stole so I can't pay it all back but I promise I am living a more honest life and I will never steal again." could you find forgiveness in your heart?  Of course you would.

I think the "forgive and forget", "live and let live" people and the Academy for Psychic Studies are cut from the same cloth: they cannot and will never acknowledge their own impact on the people around them.  They can't even see the impact others have on the people they know.

Worse, they can't see how you, me and everyone else can express emotions that are appropriate for the moment and they will never acknowledge that we have the absolute right to feel anger, frustration and all the other emotions that the emotionally healthy, well-rounded and spiritually fulfilled of the world feel as full members of the human race.

While I am not out for vengeance, I will not rest until the Academy for Psychic Studies is no longer a threat to society.  And when I can rest, I will begin to forgive.

Draining The Snake

As the one thing the Witches of Ellsworth Street covets more than anything else is money, money, money, the best way to give them indigestion, high blood pressure and insomnia is to make them spend more of it than they prefer.  Since they have no stomach for an expense of more than zero, I'd say it's a low bar to hurdle.

Of course, I pounded them hard with a winning lawsuit.  I pounded them again by tipping off the Contra Costa Building Inspection Division there was something fishy going on at the Blue Sky Ranch.  That right there cost the Witches of Ellsworth Street tens and tens of thousands of dollars.

I say it's high time to push them up to the six-figure space.

Now, these expenses don't need to be grand slams.  It was one hell of a lot of work to crush them in court and even more work to create a complaint that compelled the building inspectors to act.  There's some ways you can help the public, potentially even your own neighbors: get the word about this dangerous cult out to the world and keep it there.

That's right.  It's called supply-side economics Witches of Ellsworth style.  They demand their tributes.  We prevent their supply.

The current trajectory of the Academy for Psychic Studies is such that they are dumping (dribbling, actually) their cash reserves downward bit by bit.  That the Blue Sky Ranch cost them plenty in fines, engineering studies and repairs is just the latest in their travails.

Now is the time to press forward to prevent the Witches of Ellsworth Street from obtaining what they want to restore their perverse glory.  It's time to tell the public of the toxicity in the Academy for Psychic Studies.  It's time to ensure those who would be ensnared in this web of lies and exploitation are never trapped.

Take a moment to do something.  Make a comment - anonymously would be great as there is no damn way the Witches will be able to know who you are.  I defeated their attempt to force me to identify anyone who posts a comment and strengthened my commitment to your freedom of speech.

If someone asks about the place, pull them aside and give them the lowdown.  If you can make a rating on Yelp!, all the better.  Marilyn has done that already.  Again, there's nothing the Witches can do to you.

We all know there are things the Witches are doing that fall outside the law.  Some of it is just outside.  A lot of it is well outside.

Blow that whistle.  Take that one step forward.  If you are knowledgeable of any potentially illegal actions, write to the appropriate agency.  As a whistleblower, you will be protected if your report is made in good faith.  All things considered, your knowledge there is something that even feels a little shady, you would be protected even if your report turns out to be not actionable.

Since the Witches (Robin Dumolin in particular) have brayed loud and long about "the spirit of the law" over "the letter of the law", they'd have to admit your report in the spirit of the law is nothing more than doing exactly as they taught.

So tell the government.  It's not vengeful.  It's more like telling the cops there one hell of a lot of people speeding down your street.  It's a report.  Law enforcement will decide what will happen and they will be the ones the Witches will have to face.

It is more like Duby's perverted sense of karma - which was exactly like penance or setting the scales right.  Only for you, it's more like setting your own scales in balance while society benefits.

I for one, am glad to have done my part.  I also know there is more that should be done to right the wrongs the Witches of Ellsworth Street have perpetrated.  Your one step forward will be the one step backward the Witches will take to the gates of Hell.

That's something we can all look forward to seeing.

Staff Infection

Well, the reports I have been receiving about the collapse and demise of the nauseous and diseased Academy for Psychic Studies were a bit premature.

That's right.  I said premature.

I got inaccurate information about the state of the Academy's health.  As you know, I heard there was only the two fat guys left.  Whether that was a deliberate attempt to obfuscate or conceal the true nature of the Academy's status or if that was just another example of how, at the Academy for Psychic Studies, gossip is taken as fact and wishful thinking is taken as reality is anyone's guess at this point.

However, that the information was incorrect and that I had incurred false hope and unwarranted celebration is a situation I cannot abide.  There's no excuse.  I relied on the unreliable and paid the price.

Don't ask me to name my sources.  I won't talk about them.  This error is my fault and mine alone. That's not what you would hear from the SRF leaders, nor would you hear that from a current follower.  You'd never here this either: I apologize for any problems my inaccuracy has incurred.  I'll fight harder than a heavyweight champ to protect free speech and the truth.  There's no purpose to fight for inaccurate information.

The Academy is not dead.

The fact remains, there is an Academy for Psychic Studies/Spiritual Rights Foundation.  It is alive (although a shadow of its former self).  So while the Spiritual Rights Foundation lives today, we may see the day where time has taken its toll, vital and youthful prospects are uninspired to join and the geriatric followers are too frail to continue.

That day isn't today.

Take a look at the Academy for Psychic Studies' website.  At long last, there is a staff page displaying the Witches of Ellsworth, their super-sized sycophant and their remaining weary followers - 5 followers in total, 8 when you add the Witches and their whipping boy.  I guess one reason for it is that there are so few people remaining at this psychic sewage treatment plant their names and faces will conveniently fit on one page.  Another reason is that someone, somewhere, decided to advise the Witches of Ellsworth Street to allow their faces to be shown to the public.  I think the Witches agreed but only if the remaining staff members of the Academy posted their faces so as to provide human shields and alternate targets for the tomatoes that will come their way.

It's not just that the Witches of Ellsworth are pictured, so are all the rest.  Of course, that's pretty much everyone involved with this failing, miserable collection of debris.

When you peruse that page and view those faces, you might notice something: every one of them are of late middle-age and older.

Now, does the staff member's age denote the maturity and wisdom that comes from (I'll just call it) experience?

Maybe these staff members are indeed the cream of the perverted Academy's crop?

I say they are the staff members who are too damn crazy, tired or afraid to leave.  Maybe all three.

Take a look for yourself.  Closely scrutinize their faces and especially their eyes.  One is photographed in profile for reasons that will become obvious.  Others have that wild look in their eyes.  Some seem to be making an effort different from that of a natural smile (which, it just struck me, would need no effort).

It's contrived.  It's forced.  It's the representation of those who are compelled to serve with a happy heart and a sense of purpose that serves no one but the two Witches at the top.

What is sad and infuriating at the same time is that the remaining flat-liners aren't infused with a sense of public service (and those of you who know these people have seen that first-hand), nor are they sufficiently introspective to sit down and think about what in the hell they are really doing and what the FUCK they are actually getting out of all of this unadulterated bullshit.

As the indoctrination at the Academy for Psychic Studies is that the followers are receiving benefit, healing and self-awareness every time they perform a psychotic reading, teach a class on spiritual psychotic technique, do any kind of unpaid work for the Witches (actually ALL work for the Witches is unpaid) or give the Witches a substantial cut of their meager earnings, I suppose those delusional followers really do believe they are doing well for themselves and good for the world.

They would have to.  If they ever learned the truth, they would drop as dead as SRF's psychotic founder.

Revelation of the truth is pretty much what killed Bill Duby.  So, I guess it would do likewise to his followers.

No matter what the remaining followers believe and no matter that they conduct themselves with the kind of psychotic zeal that would bring them favor with, I guess no one (because only cash on the barrel impresses the Witches and no one else gives a fuck) they would have to admit the applicable psychotic homily in their situation would be "like attracts like".

So if the Academy for Psychic Studies needs to attract the young and energetic followers that propelled this demented and worthless organization into a brief but glittering heyday - well, why screw around:  these old bastards with their stuck-in-the-70's states of mind, their long-ago-and-far-away tales reminiscent of the bullshit your dad and uncles spewed after a night of boozing (like my dad's tales of a 10 mile hike to and from school, uphill both ways, in the snow, in July, in California farm country) are quite likely to have the same effect on the young people this idiot cult needs to thrive as it had on you as a 12 year old rolling his eyes, sighing deeply and hoping the old fuckers will finish their story before you have to tell them you have to go dump a load of diarrhea before you explode all over them.

I would expect, judging from the Academy's own "like attracts like" philosophy, these old tellers of tall tales would attract those of their own ilk.  The old and weary.  The frail.  Those on the verge of dementia.

Have any of the remaining staff members retained an inkling of relevance to the young and vital new members they desperately need?  Yeah, I didn't think so.

That does bring up a question, though: if the remaining Academy staff members are hopelessly irrelevant to any generation besides their own, would that mean the Golden Child would be pressed into service so she may face the world as the psychotic heir of the dysfunctional cesspool her father created?

What, are you kidding?

If there is one value the Witches of Ellsworth Street is passing along to their next generation, it's work.  The followers work.  The Witches crack the whip.

Receiving the kind of the kind of indoctrination, psychotic patter and schizophrenic delusions that have come so easily to the Witches and their Warlock would take special effort to infuse into the Golden Child.  As the Witches are immune from the infection called "work" and exhibiting effort is anathema to their tender sensibilities, there's not a chance they would make the effort and rigorous daily beatings we endured to indoctrinate their Golden Child.  They wouldn't trust a lieutenant to do it either.

Regardless of indoctrination, that the Golden Child was raised behind the iron gate and only released under the close personal supervision of the Witches, the child's social skills and non-existent and interactions with the real world would make her presence in the public eye more of a liability than an advantage.

So, the one weapon the Witches might have had available is useless to attract the victims the Witches need and the people the Witches have remaining are useless as well.

What is driving these unfortunate staff members (well, most of them are unfortunate) to continue to provide slave labor as they march down the road of irrelevance?

It's an infection.  The infection of delusion - the delusion there is a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, the delusion they are more knowledgeable and holy than others and that  someone, somewhere believes these followers of the Spiritual Rights Foundation are more than human.

They would have to believe.  After one of Angela Silva's tirades about nothing more than she hasn't screamed at someone since yesterday and Robin Dumolin grabbing them from behind and reaching around to grab the change in their pocket, they would have to hang on to hope to survive.

Welcome to the Academy for Psychic Studies! - Now Fuck Off!

Here's what you'll see at the Academy for Psychic Studies' San Jose
location two days, four days, five,
crap, you'll be greeted this way every damn day -
especially if you won't hand over your wallet.

If anyone were to be unfortunate enough to accidentally stumble into the Academy for Psychic Studies in San Jose, they'll likely be greeted by an individual who's social skills aren't very good.  In fact, you'll wonder if this guy was raised by wolves.

Now, I feel pretty OK that this guy had a good upbringing and was socially acceptable and aware of good manners in a previous life.  However, once this person got involved in the perverse, demented and socially inept ecosystem of the Academy for Psychic Studies, all of that went away.  Far, far away.

Now that I think about it, that lack of social graces and general manners isn't limited to just one individual.  It's pretty much endemic to the whole fucking place.

When the leaders scream at their followers at staff meetings and loot anyone who hasn't made their monthly mandatory voluntary donations and when any shortcomings displayed by the leaders (which is one hell of a lot) are blamed on the inability of the followers to complete impossible tasks, or their failure to accomplish an objective that is continually changed and forever moved just out of reach, I guess the followers are just doing to each other as the leaders have been doing to them.

We know how the leaders pummel their followers and loyal "staff" over the head with demands to make a million dollars a year for the leaders.  We know how the arrogance and pure disdain the leaders have for anyone but themselves and their golden child is so visible that the remaining faithful few show an outward appearance of submission while keeping an ember of individuality smoldering.  Even the public is finding out the Witches of Ellsworth consider people as nothing more than stacks of money to be consumed until every last penny has been thrown into the cauldron.  No surprise the public is steering clear of this useless and dysfunctional organization.

So, wouldn't a few days in charm school help the remaining faithful to turn that frown upside-down and make lemonade out of the lemons the Witches shoved up their uh, pockets?

Suuuuurrrrrre....

If you had to meet a crushing and never-ending demand to raise the Witches' flagging fortunes and if you had to face them to report you were unable to complete an impossible task and achieve an unattainable objective, how do you think they'd respond?  And how would you look after a few weeks of that?  Worse, what kind of countenance would you present to the public after all that punishment?

I'll bet you'd have that smile turned upside-down in no time.

I believe someone who has suffered at the hands of the Witches of Ellsworth Street is reflecting on that experience right now.  This person is not the only one who suffered, nor is this person the only one who is reflecting on that experience. I do also believe if it is true that person is indeed in deep reflection over their involvement in the Witches' reign of terror, they'd be looking at this blog at the present moment - whether at home or away.

We have all been reflecting on the Witches' plight, reflecting much on what we did to perpetuate that demented despotic regime and our role in covering up the insane and psychotic activities that underlie all the crazy and stupid decisions made in the name of spiritual enlightenment.

I mean, why did anyone look the other way when they knew Angela Silva and Robin Dumolin were clearly putting their most loyal and productive followers and supporters into indentured servitude, demanding large percentages of the follower's incomes for no other reason but they wanted it?

Why did people believe the tall tales spun by the Witches when each of their legal defeats were re-positioned as spiritual victories?  The Witches fought incompetently to deny good and decent parents the right to raise their own children in a upright and moral manner (with an education appropriate to the child's talents and interest) and instead maintain the child under the special tutelage and spiritual guidance of the Witches' perverted brand of child development.

Why is it, the Witches pronounce with the authority of a Supreme Court Justice, those who have left the Spiritual Rights Foundation/Academy for Psychic Studies are in a state of spiritual hell, when the divinely-departed have found perfect freedom?

And for those of you who argue the spiritual forces of the psychic universe are indeed acting to confront the dark forces who would dare to expose the divine practices of the Witches (like this blog, for example), start thinking of this:

  • The Academy for Psychic Studies has been experiencing a net LOSS of followers since the late 90's
  • The Academy has LOST their legal complaint against this blog (so badly, they were forced to offer me a full release of anything I may or may not have done to them at any time and the court ordered they pay my legal expenses - that is as bad a defeat as you can get without going to prison).
  • The Academy has LOST their bid to influence the divorce and child custody cases of several men and women ex-members.
  • Once this blog became established, the net LOSS of Academy followers per year went up drastically.
  • The number of new victims for the Clairvoyant Training Program dwindled so low, that when the only two students of that psychotic program quit, the CTP was LOST for good.
  • The Academy for Psychic Studies LOST their most loyal follower and their "church" bishop thanks to the Witches' demands for more and more and more money.
Gee, I sense a pattern here.

No wonder the remaining few at the psychotic Academy are foul and unfriendly.  For them, there's nothing to be gained by being nice.

There is a silver lining, though:  they won't be doing any more love-bombing.

Separation of Church and State or maybe Separation of you from your money?

I asked another ex-member come by the other night for a little coffee, good humor and conversation. The subject of this person's ordination came up. This ex-member said he had not been able to use his ministerial title for some time. The reason is that he had not paid the Academy for Psychic Studies for the fees necessary to register him with the state. That registration was said to give a minister the legal protection necessary to perform a marriage, conduct pastoral counseling and all the other things that a minister must do.

The registration and fees associated with it are to be paid directly to the Academy for Psychic Studies, who in turn, would send the paperwork and the license fees to the State of California. I was not aware that the State of California required registration of clergy and none of the ministers I knew had a state-issued minister's card, certificate or license.

I just could not believe that a church has required to register clergy with a government agency. The first amendment is usually interpreted as requiring the government to stay well away from religion and certainly does forbid the regulation of a religious belief. There just could not be a state requirement to license, regulate or register clergy. It would be a clear violation of the "free exercise clause" of the First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution. So, this notion of registering with the state stank like tuna left out for a week.

I decided to ask the California Department of Public Health, which has jurisdiction over who can conduct weddings and pastoral counseling. As it turns out, there is no California registry of clergy. The State of California has never maintained a list of registered clergy and never intends to.

Members of the clergy have no requirement to obtain a license or register in California just to conduct a marriage or provide pastoral counseling. Since the government is forbidden to get involved in religious issues (like who is qualified to be a minister) keeping an official State of California list of approved ministers, priests, rabbis and the like would be clearly unconstitutional.

As far as the state is concerned, once you are ordained as clergy at any church of any faith or denomination anywhere in the world, you are ordained as clergy and are empowered to conduct your pastoral duties and conduct marriages anywhere in the State of California. No verification is required by the state.

This ability to conduct a marriage remains valid for as long as the clergy wants to maintain his ordination. There is no yearly expiration of one's status a clergy, in the state's eyes. Even if you haven't thrown a wad of money into the Witches of Ellsworth's cauldron for a decade, you are as much a minister now as the day they gave you that dubious position.

In fact, all that the State of California requires of the minister performing a wedding is a recognition by the couple that the minister is actually a minister. You don't even really need to be ordained by an established church to perform a marriage; you can make up your own church (call it the church of the holy underwear with skid marks on them, if you like) and ordain yourself. Pretty easy, huh?

Same goes for any other ministerial duty. Just be sure you have some kind of entity that will serve as your church and you are good to go.

I've got one myself. It's from the Universal Life Church. It's a real certificate from a religious entity here in California. There have been many, many people who were ordained through the Universal Life Church and many of those were ordained for the purpose of conducting a wedding ceremony.

The certificate was free. The Academy for Psychic Studies charges tens of thousands of dollars to complete the ministerial training course - at least, it will take you tens of thousands of dollars before they decide to hand you a ministerial title. Thankfully, I don't have that stigma from the Academy for Psychic Studies.

Oddly, though, the Spiritual Rights Foundation (in the form of Bill Duby and Angela Silva) went on forever about how the SRF ministerial certificate was issued by the Universal Life Church.  Why would a church need to have another church issue a certificate of ordination for them?

If SRF was really a church, all the State of California and the United States of America requires is SRF's statement they are a church and the recognition of the congregation they are a church.  As SRF was fond of saying: "everything is done by agreement".  They must be too dense or paranoid to see they only needed a simple agreement to become a church.

So, this bit about them needing to issue ordination from the Universal Life Church must have been another attempt by Bill Duby to deceive and confuse.

I'm sure the SRF Secret Police Agents who surreptitiously peruse this blog will scoff at the validity of the Universal Life Church certificate of ordination. After all, they say, you get what you pay for.

But many, including our friend, received an SRF ministerial certificate that was at least purportedly from that same Universal Life Church.  Did they get what they paid for?

Well, that's true - sometimes. For all the money they put into the Academy for Psychic Studies, I wonder how valuable is their own certificate of ordination?

As far as a wedding is concerned, they have equal value. As far as giving pastoral counseling goes, they are both equally protective and valuable. Certainly, if the First Amendment protects the Academy for Psychic Studies as a religious organization, why can't any other such organizations enjoy equal rights?

Of course in the eyes of the Academy for Psychic Studies, there's no value in a "mail-order" ordination that costs nothing.

But in the citizen's eyes, in the eyes of the State of California, in the eyes of the First Amendment of the Constitution of the United States of America, there is value. And their eyes are the only ones that matter.

What about that fee, then?

The State does not require it. Who does and where is that money going?

It's a bunch of crap. I mean... uh, carrots.

Here's how the Witches gave
spiritual nourishment to their followers.
Did I say gave spiritual nourishment to?
I meant to say screwed.  My bad...

Anonymous March 23, 2010 1:59 PM
This was a service to all of us ex cult members who are or have transitioned to a normal life. SRF does mean SELF RIGHTEOUS FEMALES.
It doesn't stand for Spiritual Rights Foundation, because the Bill Duby child molesters of the world make sure he tells you about your so called spiritual rights, then takes them away from you with constant negative bombardment.

Lets keep up the pressure and drive them to retire for good.
Angela and Robin have no peoples skills, and the Bishop is only there to attract what little they can attract with ISHI Hypnosis.
She will get screwed in the end, having the same carrot dangled in front of her as they dangled in front of the rest of us.

Well, looks like the Spiritual Rights Foundation really did train psychics.  Just over a year after this comment was posted, the Bishop of SRF bailed out after she realized the pilot and co-pilot were flying her straight into a cliff.

After we pulled the ripcord ourselves, the meltdown of the Spiritual Rights Foundation became all too predictable.  So were the reasons for the meltdown.  When an organization revolves around two women who want all you have for all the wrong reasons, the total collapse of this evil organization was just plain inevitable.

=================================

One of the many long-lasting fallout's of the failed attempt of the Spiritual Rights Foundation to sue this blog, myself and my spouse out of existence is one the Witches of Ellsworth Street and the Spiritual Rights Foundation hoped would never happen.

In response to their ill-considered action, we filed an anti-SLAPP motion with the court.  That response had two direct quotes from not only Rev. William Duby but their own attorney (the same one who filed the suit in the first place) that said something like: "Who gives a damn if you call the Spiritual Rights Foundation a cult?  Every damn group is a cult so, there's nothing bad about calling SRF a cult."

Of course, as the basis of the SRF lawsuit said they were mortally offended they were being called a cult, their lawsuit was brushed aside and they were made to pay the price for stupidity.

That's probably bad enough.  However, there's something even worse the idiotic Witches of Ellsworth Street never considered:  because I beat their attempt to not be called a cult, I made it legally supportable for anyone to call them a cult, at any time, forever.

The Spiritual Rights Foundation is, as far as I know, the only cult that not only can you get away with calling a cult, you have full legal support to call them a cult.

=================================

So it appears the Witches have succeeded in training a few people to use psychic abilities, the Witches' own psychic abilities are so feeble, they couldn't see they were racing at full speed into a brick wall and the rug of deceit and exploitation they stood on would be pulled out from under them by their own victims.

Their Number is Up

Dubya likes to tell the Witches he's got their number - ONE.

So, I guess there's no need to wonder what possessed the Witches to hold a weekend class on numerology (at $350 a head).

The class is no longer available for attendance.

It's yet another of the Witches' lazy and half-hearted schemes to bring in students who just aren't interested in their poison.

Lazy?

Well if you know those two, you'll pretty much agree they'll always ride on the backs of others while they reach around and rummage around for pocket change and lunch money.  This class seemed no different.

After all, they didn't teach the class themselves.  They had their corpulent sycophant set it up and do his usual incompetent job of promotion.  Then, as usual, they stood around demanding their fair cut of the proceeds.

If that cut is the same as they charged others, it's a fairly big cut.

I guess that huge cut and the fact there was a dearth of attendees caused the person teaching the numerology class to pull out and pack up.

Well, lucky thing there's no one left to face the Witches' wrath.  You never know what Kim Jong Silva will want to do next.  You know it will be something insane and stupid but it's never much of a surprise when you see it.

Blowing their horn with the wrong lips

How come none of those mid-life burn-out cases
stuck in the 70's ever mocked up a hot chick
like her for the Academy for Psychic Studies?
Uhhh, I think I answered my own question.

UPDATE:  The reviews shown below have been removed from Yelp!  No, I didn't do a thing to get them removed - Yelp! did it all by themselves.

We often heard from the head psychotic "If you want to blow you own horn, use someone else's lips.".  He never really made clear what that meant to him (as he did with most things) but he did imply to have others make public compliments to you.  That would help bring prominence and legitimacy to whatever it is you are doing - like running a psychic cesspool.

Today, even as the infamous Academy for Psychic Studies are in the midst of their death throes, the number of supporters who just aren't there to support them either in body or mind seems to continue to make an annoying racket.

On this Yelp! review, our intrepid Marilyn has given an honest review based on her experience with the Psychotic Academy.  It's a one-star review.  The really funny thing is Marilyn's review is the ONLY review visible to the reader.

There are a couple of them that are hidden and not factored into the Academy's review rating, though.  I'll
give you a look at them before we tear into all the reasons why Yelp! didn't factor them into their rating.

The first fractured review is written by a familiar name.  She's the one who was convinced God told her to buy a Toyota POS from her crooked neighbor for a price that was utterly outrageous.  She's also the one who would attract snickers whenever she spoke, eye rolling whenever she asked a question, disgust when she entered a room and throughout it all, never noticed just how much the psychics at her beloved place insulted her and laughed at her behind her back.  I guess it's merciful that she didn't.

Not a day passed when the staff didn't have a "Crazy Lizanne" story.  As Lizanne had a lot of things going on that I thought were psychological in nature, I thought her treatment at the hands of the Witches and the rest of the witch-ly staff was reprehensible.

That second one is interesting.  Ms. Mary H. appears to be one of the nuts who have left comments of support for the Academy that revolved around insulting anyone who participates in this blog because she didn't like what was said here.  Of course she claimed her first hand knowledge was more accurate and complete than ours because she once came by for ten minutes to pick up a friend who attended this cesspit for a decade and during those ten minutes, she received a psychotic healing.

Mary H. sounds very much like a person from San Diego who commented on the blog, never claiming personal experience with the classes at the Academy.  She also never claimed to have resided in the Bay Area, saying she had lived in San Diego, making it impossible to have attended classes in Berkeley.

It is pretty well apparent in her review: she got it all wrong.  The Academy for Psychic Studies doesn't deal with habit control - ISHI Hypnosis does.  Well, ISHI Hypnosis used to. Anyway, it's clear her motives were to attack this blog and anyone who had the usual crappy, exploitative experience most people have.

She did say way too much about having a friendship with a person well connected at the Academy for Psychic Studies, which gave her the authority and standing to tell us all we are tools and to fuck off.

Mary's comments were summarily deleted on that basis and her appearance in the blog was erased as thoroughly as Bill Duby's true past.

However, before I did, I challenged Mary to drop what she was doing, take the introductory mind control classes, enroll in the Clairvoyant Training Program and move in to one of Angela Silva's shit-hole apartments for the duration.

My prediction for her outcome after a few years was the same as ours: bleak, impoverished, debased and devalued with little to no prospects for a complete and fulfilling life and a need for intense psychological treatment for many years to come.

And when that happened, I promised to let her vent about it on this blog for as much as she liked.

For some reason, Mary didn't take me up on my offer.  Hell, I thought it was generous!

I haven't heard from Lizanne either.  She does have a blog of her own, in some kind of retaliation to this one and support of the blog the Academy for Psychic Studies abandoned.

Speaking of abandonment, Lizanne had a relationship with the Academy and the Witches that was eerily like that of an abused child trying to gain favor with the abusive parent.  She paid, and paid, and sang the praises of people who demeaned her and insulted her and paid even more until her funds ran dry.  Then she was heaved out to the street.

Lizanne still thinks her expulsion was her own fault and the Witches were doing only what was best for Lizanne's growth and eternal unfoldment when they told her to go fuck herself.

So, I guess it's understandable that Yelp! decided to hide these warm and nourishing reviews, and discount them from the Academy's overall rating.

When one five-star review sounds like it came from someone who missed her daily medication or took way too much of it and the other came from a person who is nowhere near the Academy (and is probably the one who admitted she never took a single goddamn class there), I wouldn't want to show them either.

It's uncanny.  Whenever the Academy for Psychic Studies tries to blow their own horn with another person's lips, what should be musical sounds like a psychotic delusion.  What they would expect to have impact, lands flat on its face and the warm and nourishing support the Academy expects to receive is as empty and sanctimonious as the support they give out.

Wow, sounds like the Law of Attraction is alive and well after all!

The Academy for Psychic Studies' Numbers Racket

Hey, look at that: Angela finally got that face lift!

A few years back, a reader left a comment asking about a guy named Michael Anaast, who these days seems to go by the name Michael Fikaris.

I really had to dig for that.  You see, I never met Michael Anaast or his alter ego Michael Fikaris.  In fact, I had barely heard of the guy(s).

M
r. Anaast was at the spiritual cesspool well before I was interned.  In fact, I believe Mr. Anaast was one of the founders of the Spiritual Rights Foundation.  For a long time, I wasn't aware of that.  I only found out when a picture of Bill Duby, Angela Silva and two other SRF founders surfaced.  The picture was so old, I had to ask who those people with Bill and Angela were.

Despite being a founder of this vile and disgusting collection of bodily fluids, Michael Anaast wasn't exactly a household name at the Academy.  His status as a co-founder wasn't ever mentioned.  Accounts of Michael Anaast's background and pre-cult life were, as usual, confused and varied depending on who you asked, when you asked and whether or not they had their medication that day.

The best I can do is say Mr. Anaast or Fikaris was said to be a founder of SRF.  He lived in the backyard apartment on Ellsworth Street for a time, with his wife and three children.  Supposedly, Mr, Anaast/Fikaris had affairs and other un-ministerial activities but that would be no different from any of the other ministerial staff at SRF.  After some time, Anaast departed to found an organization called the Foundation for Spiritual Freedom, possibly located on Dana Street in Berkeley.

Under what circumstances and what reasons Anaast made his exit is not clear to me.  Some say he had some kind of argument with Bill Duby, who responded by telling Angela to throw his ass out the door.  Others say he was so headstrong, he had to move on to his own organization for his own sanity.

All I know is that he vamoosed with a couple of SRF women to begin his own place and that long-time SRF members as a whole were apprehensive about talking about him or acknowledging him.  There was never any mention of him by the head psychotic or his witches.  Barely anyone said anything about him at all.

I can only think Michael Anaast/Fikaris departed the Spiritual Rights Foundation under less-than-warm-and-nourishing terms.  And that puts him in the same position as the rest of us.

Today while I was doing my usual perusal of the interweb, I happened upon the decayed and festering web site of the Academy for Psychic Studies.  Apart from the dilapidated and uninspired appearance of the site, one item caught my eye.

The Psychotic Academy is offering a two-day seminar on Numerology readings.  For the bargain price of only $350 and giving the public a whole two weeks before the class begins to make up their mind to attend, the Academy hopes to fill their empty coffers with dozens of eager (and likely gullible) students of Numerology readings.

That's not surprising.  We have all seen how the Academy uses time as a tactic to induce pressure to pay absurd prices for classes of dubious value.  What is surprising is who is teaching this two-day class:

Michael Fikaris

If what I heard about his relationship with the Academy for Psychic Studies is true, Michael Fikaris returning to teach a seminar at the very place he was separated from is a shocker.  It's even more shocking if Duby indeed told Angela to get rid of him.  Even more shocking than that, that corpulent and overbearing enforcer is probably the one who made the arrangements for the weekend seminar.

You have to wonder what circumstances came about for what ever is left of the Academy to allow him (or perhaps ASK) him to lead a class at the haunted house on Ellsworth Street.  You  have to wonder - crap, you already know what prompted this whole arrangement.  It's the $350 a head admission price.  The only real questions are how big is Angela and Robin's cut, how much of it did they promise to the portly disciplinarian and what will they say when they cheat him out of it?

Anyone want to throw down a Benji that SRF won't see more than, say, nothing out of this perverted endeavor?   Anyone else want to lay a wager this event will be the watershed event that reversed the Academy for Psychic Studies' reversed fortunes?  Anyone else stupid enough to take that bet?

How many of the newly-departed from the Academy would do their duty and go to this event only because Robin and Angela want another chance to pick their pockets?  Do you think Angela and Robin can succeed when they send their waddling strong-arm with the gut that jiggles when the wind is blowing to pressure whatever former members he can accost?

Well, let's hope the people who just left the insane asylum didn't have a relapse.

What about Numerology requires a 2+ day seminar?  The technique was so simple Rev. Bill Duby himself can look at someone in the eye, assign numerals to each letter of his name then in his usual rapid-fire delivery proclaim:  D-is-4-I-is-12-C-is-8-and-K-is-3-divided-by-9-and-the-hypotenuse-of-the-square-quadratic-of-pi is uhhhhhhh: you're_a_fucking_asshole_now_give_me_your_goddamn_money.

If Rev. Bill Duby, stricken with dyslexia and other learning disabilities could figure out numerology, why the hell does it take an entire weekend for someone with full capabilities to learn it?

None of that matters to the Witches of Ellsworth Street.  What matters is there are no more hapless and deluded followers throwing money at them, no one to do their bidding for free (well, there's only one), the people they would publicly excoriate for their own follies are no longer in the center room awaiting execution and they need people to bring them stacks o' cash and sit in terror while the Witches blame them for imaginary crimes.

However, if they really were interested in numerology, they might find something like this:

Angela Silva  Your number is: 4
The obligations that you face may tend to create frustration and feelings of limitation or restriction. You may sometimes find yourself nursing negative attitudes in this regard and these can keep you in a rather low mood. Avoid becoming too rigid, stubborn, dogmatic, and fixed in your opinions. (I guess it's too late for Angela, huh?).
You may have a tendency to develop and hold very strong likes and dislikes, and some of these may border on the classification of prejudice. The negative side of 4 often produces dominant and bossy individuals who are disciplinarian to an excess. (not much I can add to this...)

Robin Dumolin  Your number is: 11
Attitudes associated with the number 11 expression include a continuous sense of nervous tension; you may be too sensitive and temperamental. You tend to dream a lot and may be more of a dreamer than a doer. Fantasy and reality sometimes become intermingled and you are sometimes very impractical. You tend to want to spread the illumination of your knowledge to others irrespective of their desire or need. (yep, Robin tired to impress us with her vast knowledge of every damn thing. The presentations of her intellectual prowess sounded more like the Golden Book of Puppies your grandmother gave you for your 6th birthday than the definitive reference work we expected. I never decided if she did that because it was her usual condescending manner or if she was really that stupid. Actually, I have decided. She really is that stupid.)

How about that?  I'll be teaching a class on numerology next weekend!  350 a head and not one penny goes to Angela or Robin!  See you there!

The Academy for Psychic Studies - relationship control, mind control

Yeah, and I had two of them pissed at me - at once.

Be sure to read the comment by
Steve Sanchez at the end of this post!

Most of you know that Bill Duby frequently arranged relationships in a flash of spiritual inspiration - and later un-arranged them in one of his spiritual temper tantrums.

Joy and I both were long aware of how many of the Bill-inspired and blessed couples wound up in divorce and bitter rancor over division of their meager assets, spousal support and child custody.  It scared me so damn much, I was determined to keep the pot-bellied bastard out of our relationship.

But before all that, many of you are aware of my own Bill-arranged "marriage" to another woman.  I won't name her here (out of respect for her as an individual) but if you were present at SRF at that time, you'll know exactly who I am talking about.

Bill was excited about the union.  He dragged us in front of one of his perverted trance "classes", put us both into a deep trance and performed the equivalent of a "spiritual marriage" at that time.  Nearly simultaneously, he put Joy into an even deeper trance state forcing her to separate from me, being present during this new "blessed" union and always showing support for it.

Basically, Bill put Joy into a state of continuous torture.

Bill bragged often to his congregation that his prediction was that he would turn this arranged union with a woman I had no long-term plans for to convert into a real, legal marriage in two years.  He also bragged that she and I would be the "power couple" of SRF and he had plans for us.  I don't think those plans involved him giving us a church wedding and reception at a pleasant venue.  Probably it had more to do with dog collars and whips.

But his message to us both was consistent:

To me, all he said was "Follow me and I'll get you laid."

To her, all he said was, "Keep your knees together, you whore."

The rest of Bill's behavior is just too perverse, too deranged and depraved to describe.

It was a rocky relationship.  I mean, why wouldn't it be?  Here I am listening to Bill tell me I can get my sausage in the bun at last while this gal is practically having her legs tied together.  I was told later Bill would gather the ministers around him and tell tales of his perverse mischief and how well he is manipulating my "relationship".

I didn't need to hear that to sense something was up.  That gal would get her mack on me so hard, saliva would soak my shirt and my lips would become numb.

Knowing what he set up, Bill would come up to me and tell me "You know, she wants someone who's going to take charge in the bedroom. Do you have what it takes? You have to whip it out and slap her in the face with it. If you can't take her, I know three guys who will."

But getting past batting practice with her was just plain impossible.  It took a number of weeks for me to figure out I had been played for a fool and the whole congregation was holding their sides in laughter as I danced the hokey pokey with a girl who wouldn't put her foot or anything else in.  But I guess that's what it's all about.

Obviously that relationship ended.  Badly.  I was pissed at her and she with me.  But oddly, she remained interested in me even afterwards.  It was then I finally figured out what in hell that perverted and sick bastard Bill Duby had arranged.  He arranged a marriage for his own pleasure and entertainment.  He impacted three lives - the son of a bitch separated me from the gal I eventually did marry.  Fortunately for her and me, we were able to conduct our relationship on the DL for a while and establish ourselves on firm ground before the tidal wave of disapproval washed over us.

Our marriage is in its fourth year.  Even though we have known each other for 15 years and have been a couple for nearly a decade, our marriage seems as fresh to me today as our relationship did ten years ago.  In fact, every one of our vacations seems like another honeymoon.  I doubt I'd be saying that about my arranged "marriage" to the cult devotee.

==================================

I ran into the following online just today.  This is a tribute to the Late Rev. Bill Duby by the same woman who is keeping her knees together to this day.  Not just for me (and if I were stupid enough to do a Tiger Woods, I'd have hell to pay) but for everyone.

I didn't know what Bill said other than telling her to squeeze her knees so tight that a dime could turn into foil.  I believe he promised her power and status within the cult (which she got without me anyway).  But this article is revealing.  Bill really worked her over.  Perversely, he positioned love as hate and characterized this woman's brief relationships as destructive, even though young women and young men naturally tend to have short relationships anyway.  Only Bill could take advantage of a young woman to turn her against her own nature and entangle her into his own perverted world for his own strange purposes.

Now long after the psychotic charlatan has kicked up his last daisy, this woman has her own business (which by all accounts is doing quite well) but is still without a life partner - man or woman.

The tragic part of this sad tale is that she and I might have been where Joy and I are today - or at least she and someone would.  There's not a damn thing wrong with her personally that a little exorcism or de-worming couldn't fix.

The tale of this woman infuriates and deeply depresses me.  I mean, I am pissed that Reverend Bill Duby did what he did to manipulate and exploit the emotions and affections of a young woman and it's depressing to see the effects of that perverse effort alive and well to this day.

Finding My Life
by (former cult member)
I would like to share with you my story of how I found my life, my self, and my love at the Spiritual Rights Foundation. It's the story of my relationship with Rev. William H. Duby, the Founder and Pastor of SRF. I came to SRF through its Santa Clara branch in 1994. I enjoyed learning in the beginning classes, hearing things I had always known but never knew how to express, and having somewhere to make sense of things.
I met Rev. Debi as my teacher who encouraged me, and got me on my path without me even knowing it. She made it so easy, that I was regularly attending church in Berkeley once a month, seeing this guy everyone called "Rev. Bill". I sometimes stayed for his meditations, which moved so fast that if I realized one thing he was saying, I was reflecting all week.
I didn't get it though, that I had "FOUND IT!" as the buttons say. (I) was still going to get ahead and do all the things she had been told would make her happy, and that was one long list. But I kept coming to Berkeley, taking classes, coming to Healing Clinic.
I remember Monday Night Trance experiences the most, where all I knew was that my heart glowed whenever Rev. Bill talked, and I wished he would never stop. (He still hasn't, by the way.)
I was lucky enough to join the Clairvoyant Training Program with Rev. Angela Silva, and to begin reading and growing and all the wonderful things the Program entails. I was definitely at home.
Before I came to SRF, I had been fiercely self-destructive in relationships, on a downward spiral that put me where I hated myself, and was unable to do anything but hate others as a result.
Regarding relationships, Rev. Bill showed me and taught me many invaluable things. He showed me that what I thought was love, was really hate in disguise; that I had been tricked and enslaved by energies that weren't mine, and had taken this on to do to others. Rev. Bill did this and much more in hundreds of hours of working with me I had learning opportunities so I could see the truth about energy and myself. It was a war for my soul and my decency, and it saved my life. I am eternally grateful to Rev. Bill for this alone.
There were many other times that I learned and was healed from his teaching, but also from spending time with him, and watching his interactions with others. He showed me what was Truth, what was Love and how to discern these vibrations from all others. He made certain I had the teaching, that I did it to the extent I could never doubt its reality in this life and for eternity. He recognized what God had written on my heart, which I always thought were just the daydreams of my soul, and helped make them a reality. He showed me and made available to me opportunities for these dreams to come true. He saw, said Hello to, and loved God in me so much I could do it for myself.
Thank you Rev. Bill. I love you.
===================================

I think several others wouldn't thank Bill nor would they express any emotion for him even close to love.  I think it will be closer to a felony count.  Me - I had go pray to the porcelain god after reading it and finished with a phrase that contained the word "you" but certainly not the words "love" or "thank".

Anyway, read it carefully:  Bill grabbed hold of this young woman's mind and implanted himself permanently.  S
he is currently a devoted, faithful follower of the Spiritual Rights Foundation and is prominent in the Academy for Psychic Studies.  Not anymore, thankfully.  Who knows if Bill Duby is still crawling around this young woman's noggin like a tapeworm, though.

It's also a great example of why I can't spend my time pulling people out of there, even if I wanted to.  There's so much control and so many tricks the leaders pull on the remaining followers, yanking them out is just impossible.

The only way to help is to stand by, available with a helping hand if needed.  There's just no way for anyone, even we who want to help those trapped behind the iron gate of the Academy, to fight the mind control that grips the members of the Academy for Psychic Studies.

Mind control is strong.  To see so much of it even after the perpetrator is long dead is eye-opening and frightening.

=================================

Below is a great comment sent by none other than Steve Sanchez, author of the book "Spiritual Perversion" - an amazingly accurate account of day-to-day life at the Academy for Psychic Studies and its impact on the emotional and mental well-being of its loyal followers.

[the unfortunate current cult member] writes her statement very well. She does a good job of selectively saying the right things, and using inspiring phrases. It can't hide the basic reality.
Bill's constant advantage was that he didn't allow anyone to look underneath, to see the nasty-nitty-gritty world of manipulation that he lived in, and the cruel narcissistic motivations that fueled him.All the cruel things he did and said go unseen and unaccounted.
[the unfortunate current cult member] is in the euphoria of dissociation. She is using all the wonderful things she says to dissociate from rage and anger underneath at being led away from her own life. She is in a salvation fantasy where Bill is the hero. All her talent is used to fight fiercely for the reality of the fantasy. That is how her life is taken away. There is truth in her saying that she came out of self-destruction no doubt, but this truth is used to make the lie more real.
With the first shock of trauma we react from a default place of emotion, and thinking from appearances. The natural reaction is felt in this way: if no one cares about me, then I don’t care about you or me. This is a cut-off, and feeds the forsaken feeling that ‘God is punishing me’. This may explain what is happening in the two stories above. These feelings are not necessarily bad.
As I said above, often after the first shock people are put in a position to wrestle with God, and are able to incorporate a more spiritual perspective. They re-define and deepen their connection. But other times the pain of trauma is too deep, people have erected hardened barriers around it, and will not let their position be budged.
Swedenborg gives us a great framework for understanding this subject. He writes:"To think and conclude from the internal is to think from ends and causes to effects, but to think and conclude from the external is to think from effects to causes and ends. The latter progression is against order, but the former is according to order; for to think and conclude from ends and causes is to think and conclude from goods and truths clearly seen in the higher region of the mind. Such from creation is the nature of human rationality itself. But to think and conclude from effects is to conjecture causes and ends from the lower region of the mind where are the sensual things of the body with their appearances and fallacies." (CL, 408).
Feeling God is punishing us is an example of coming to a conclusion from external thinking. We see the evidence of, lets say a stroke; we appropriately feel anger and pain and loss, and from appearances conclude that God is punishing us.
But this is from natural thinking. As we process the situation spiritually we can see that our experience is part of the human condition, and that God is the foundation stone that we can trust in our hearts. Healthy anger springs from the desire to find, establish and reclaim our identity.
When we feel grief there is an opening up, because grief is a form of love; it is love when there is the pain of loss. Bitter, hardened anger concludes that ‘no one cares, and therefore we are not going to care’ (although this is, of course, never true; it is either defiance, or a cry for help).
It is my experience and observation that, quite often, the cause of the stuck place is unresolved emotion from trauma. The unresolved emotion drives a wedge between our selves and our loved ones, between God and us. To maintain the wedge requires dissociating from what we really need to deal with, which manifests in all kinds of addictions, and evasive behavior.
It also causes us to use ideologies as dissociative tools, such as using relativism to justify any position we want so as to not facing our self, or using the dogma of religiosity to avoid vulnerability and pain. If the dissociation becomes chronic, it causes a distancing from the foundation of our being - God. The anger and pain don’t go away, and the wedge displaces our ability to receive the Lord in our hearts.
Many people have suffered trauma in their youth. The trauma could be at the hands of religion, one’s parents, political organizations, schools, relatives or any number of things. Trauma due to abuse causes a deep emotional imprint in the heart, and in the neuronal networks of the brain. It can also be added to by ones own misbehavior, which compounds self-inflicted hate and poor identity. These experiences cause disillusion, suffering, and despair.
People learn strategic ways to protect themselves against these emotional scars. Even those who do a lot of processing work around the issue often don’t get to the core of it. Intense emotional experiences of injustice become internalized, held in a place where they can’t cause further pain. If this kind of emotional hiding persists the ‘underground’ emotion can displace our reception of good. The stuck emotion inside feeds off polarized feelings from childhood that habitually dart between helplessness and omnipotence. These are dramaticized childhood feelings.
Self-protection around the underground pain has been made a matter of survival, leaving us with un-resourced places inside, at least when it comes to certain matters. When triggered, we regress back to this place and react from it, unconsciously employing tried and true self-defense mechanisms, or escaping through some form of dissociation.
The stuck person protects this emotion at all costs, even if they unconsciously hurt others. It sometimes doesn’t matter how much psychological or religious information a person has gained in their life; in fact the more they have, the more sophisticated the self-protection mechanism, and the more elaborate the intellectual framework that is used to mask it.
