Taking Liberties

This is my kind of picture: a mugful of dark and mug of light.

...but this is probably closer to being on-topic.

The Spiritual Rights Foundation "operated" several businesses. Here is a list of the ones I know about:
  • Health and Wealth - a publisher of "self-help" recordings.
  • A Bookstore in Berkeley (now defunct) - a small "bookstore" that apparently made more money on porn than books.
  • Sterling Rose Press (now defunct) - the "publisher" of the official Academy for Psychic Studies organ, "American Spirit Newspaper.  The newspaper is no longer printed in paper form and the web version was last updated in January 2008.
  • Liberty Construction (now defunct) - a local construction company purchased from the widow of a SRF Clairvoyant Training Program student who killed himself. The price paid was said to be ridiculously low.
  • Blue Sky Ranch (now like Iraq) - it raises livestock for sale. Well actually, as it is owned by Robin Dumolin and Angela Silva, it's not really an SRF business. But we all thought it was.
  • Freedom Estates - the firm that manages SRF-owned income properties.

The ownership of those "companies" was technically SRF. The managers of those companies had a familiar appearance to them. In every one of those companies, the management positions were held by Angela Silva and Robin Dumolin - except for the Blue Sky Ranch. They owned it. We thought the church owned it.
Considering that Bill Duby kept saying Angela and Robin represent "the body of the church", I suppose in legal terms those would be one and the same. And if you believe that one, I still have a bridge for sale.

According to Steve Sanchez's book "Spiritual Perversion", Robin and Angela took managment positions in Liberty Construction. Angela drew a salary from Liberty Construction for doing absolutely nothing. Robin drew a salary for an hour's worth of scrutinizing the ledgers for no apparent reason than she loved to count her money.

It was well known that those two held management positions in all the other companies. I would presume they performed similar tasks and drew similar paychecks.

Oddly, Angela and Robin drew more than salaries. They compelled Liberty Construction to pay them revenue shares (NOT profit shares, you make-believe MBA's). Such a practice is highly unusual in a legitimate company. In fact, it's not practiced in any thriving and functional company you would hear about. I would presume that arrangement was made in the rest of the SRF "companies".

Even though Angela and Robin made money on these "companies" through salaries and revenue shares (oh, and those "companies" were paying a tithe to SRF, which in turn was paying Angela and Robin stipends) only Liberty Construction paid the employees.

I and many others spend many a late night recording, producing or packaging recordings for Health and Wealth at absolutely no pay. Those who worked at the bookstore say they worked for no pay. Freedom Estates sole "property manager" has been heard to say "I don't get paid for this job."

The Blue Sky Ranch draws free labor from the ever-dwindling pool of the SRF faithful. There is only one or two able-bodied men to do the heavy work. The women are said to have lost interest in the Ranch. No wonder the Blue Sky Ranch is sinking into the swamp.

Sill, even though they have free labor, draw salaries for doing nothing and get revenue shares it's not enough for Angela and Robin. Liberty Construction has provided home improvement work for them for free.
Steve Sanchez writes about that in this excerpt from "Spiritual Perversion":

=============================================

...I did tell Robin and Ang that I thought that SRF should pay for it when the Liberty men worked on SRF property, because using their labor for free it was hurting the business. In reality I didn’t care if Liberty went down. No, I was dearly hoping it would.

After the meeting, Ang took me aside and said, “Steve I thought you did a real good job of not reacting. You handled it well.” I thanked her and thought, how ironic.

Shortly after this, Ang asked me to build a steam room in her bathroom for Rev. Bill, and Bill asked me to put hardwood flooring in the living room for Ang. Both of them wanted this as a gift from Liberty. I didn’t want to do this because Liberty couldn’t afford it at all, it would cause me a lot of stress, and I believed they were taking advantage of the money in an inappropriate way. On the other hand if I showed any sign of not wanting to do it I would certainly catch hell for being disloyal.

I arranged all the work, even though I had two other jobs going on. I still wanted to show them I was loyal. I became their buddy as the work was going on at first. But half way through, they decided they also wanted hardwood flooring in the bedroom, two new sliding glass doors, two new windows, and cedar paneling in the closets.

I told them Liberty couldn’t afford to do this, but they overrode me, and accused me of being disloyal. They put Linda in charge of finishing the work, because I had a “‘bad attitude,”’ and I was slammed in front of everyone. All this made me sick to my stomach.

I didn’t know what my rights were. I was starting to hate them. Could it really be that they we’re just hatefully using me?’. But I continued to float over it,these misgivings in out of fear and wanted desire for their approval.

They ended up spending about $10,000.00 at Liberty’s expense. I couldn’t take much more. I was so stressed I could barely stand being alive. I couldn’t mistake the endless, useless pattern of my life.

===============================================

I remember this event; where Bill Duby wanted to pimp his crib. At that time, I was not aware of how much work Bill wanted. However, I was really, really aware of how much he wanted it.

Before attending our Clairvoyant Training Program classes, reading night or any damn thing, we lowlife students were required to sit downstairs and "run energy" for an hour or so. One day, while entering into my state of mind control, I overhead the distinctive voice of Bill Duby engaged in his usual profane, heated outburst with a member of SRF.

As I was sitting near the door (on a filthy, old, crappy sofa) I was able to crane my neck just a little to look out the open door. I saw Steve Sanchez standing with Bill Duby. Bill's eyes were locked on Steve with the fire and intensity of a man about to commit a felony.

His face was the representation of raw, pure anger. Bill screamed at Steve, "You can't give to your president, the body of your church! (meaning Angela) There's something wrong with your brain stem because you can't understand shit! No goddamn wonder you stopped growing!"

Steve's reply: "Bill, all I asked is 'who's going to pay for it - you or Liberty?'".

After hearing that statement, Bill turned on his heels and stormed back to his apartment, a look of disgust on his face. Steve, looking bewildered, just stood there for a moment watching Bill storm off before he headed upstairs into the headquarters building.

A few weeks after that incident, Angela proudly showed me the improvement to her living quarters. The steam room, hardwood flooring, cedar closets were all proudly presented to me. It was at that point I figured out what that heated and agitated display was all about.

It was not until I read Steve's book and re-lived that event that I realized Bill Duby, Angela Silva and Robin Dumolin possessed an immense sense of personal entitlement.

Entitlement to have any damn thing they wanted. Entitlement to endanger the livelyhood of those employed in their company to satisfy their own personal impulses. Entitlement to divert as much money as possible back to themselves, no matter what would be ethical, moral or reasonable.

They didn't care if the employees of Liberty Construction were paid below market rate and were not offered basic health insurance (even on a share-of-cost basis that so many companies do). Angela and Robin never wanted to know that Liberty Construction could hire only semi-skilled workers for the wages they paid. And as soon as those semi-skilled workers became skilled through working for Liberty Construction, the workers left for greener pastures.

As Steve Sanchez struggled to replace workers and build stability, Angela and Robin treated him with disdain for suggesting to take care of employees and to pay prevailing market wages with at least a minimum of benefits. To Angela and Robin, the employees of Liberty Construction were no more than slaves, chattel, gears in their money machine.

I wasn't sure how much of a cash cow Liberty Construction was for Angela Silva and Robin Dumolin. I would imagine it was lucrative as long as there was revenue. And for as long as they felt entitled to use Liberty Construction to conduct repairs on SRF-owned properties and to renovate and remodel their own living quarters and properties, Angela and Robin really didn't care what happened to the Liberty Construction or its employees.

It wasn't long after Bill Duby browbeat and manhandled Steve Sanchez into giving Angela what she had been nagging for that Liberty Construction began its death spiral.

If the way they treated Liberty Construction is any indication, I would expect that Angela Silva and Robin Dumolin will extract as much as they can squeeze out of SRF as it spirals down into the cesspool of insignificance.

There have been some improvements to the SRF headquarters lately. The scandalous, repulsive paint job has been replaced a more attractive color scheme. One of the income properties has been dolled up as well. New cars, special "religious retreats" (for leaders only) and who knows what are being lavished on the leadership of SRF. I wonder if their personal bank accounts are magically getting fatter in these tough economic times?

Why is it Angela and Robin can drive any car they want while everyone else settles for what they can get?

When was the last time anyone there traveled on their own? How are the follower's bank accounts?

Wouldn't the thought of all that be enough for the faithful few remaining at the Spiritual Rights Foundation to pack up and catch the next Greyhound out of the gated compound?

Unfortunately, it likely will not.

The sense of entitlement for the leaders runs so deep and the mind control is so strong, even the poor, tired and fully exploited ranks of the remaining congregation believe the leaders have the right to loot and pillage the very thing the congregation paid to create.

It's something like the Band on the Titanic playing until the ship sank. And oddly, while they sense the ship is sinking, they spend their time re-arranging the deck chairs.

People still jockey for status and an illusory sense of power and influence. People indulge the leader's every whim and endlessly praise Bill Duby's golden child for the chance the Witches of Ellsworth will throw them a crumb of approval.

As there are perhaps only a dozen people left at SRF (well down from its peak of nearly 40) it's well past the time to be like Leo and Kate: jump off the sinking ship while you still have a chance.

The ship has hit the iceberg, passengers. Maybe you should get away before you turn into Leo-sicles.

The Academy for Psychic Studies - These people piss me off

Not a lot to write today, but I will be back soon. It's been a busy week and I don't want you to think I have forgotten about anyone.

I just want to let everyone know: even though the Academy for Psychic Studies/Spiritual Rights Foundation is on the ropes and is gasping for air, I will continue to tell our side of the story to those who are interested in taking classes or just joining the Academy for the fun of it.

While the Academy is dying and their death throes have them thrashing around blaming everyone from this blog to the guy who picks up cans in the street, there is still interest in the place and there are still people who would hope the Academy gives them all the things missing in their lives.

This blog will continue to tell them what they feel is missing now will seem like nothing after a few years of being under the thumb of the Witches of Ellsworth Street.

And oh, has anyone seen the faithful few lately? I hear the one who licks the Witches boots clean is frequently seen with a scowl on his face. That's the fat guy who does the Witches' dirty work and says he receives next to nothing in return. I guess that explains the scowl. The rest, I hear, are walking around in a daze as if they have resigned themselves to face a catastrophe they know is around the corner.

Well, I hope that keeps the Academy for Psychic Studies on the rocks for a while. Whatever keeps the Witches of Ellsworth so occupied with squeezing their few remaining hangers-on will keep them from reaching out to the general public - and that's a good thing.

So as there will be a lull in their activities until at least tomorrow morning, I'll take a break until then.

I'm a bit tired and haven't had quite enough sleep right now so I'll have to sign off until I can catch up on some shuteye. However, I will be back shortly with more salty comments and insight.

Reverend William Duby, Psychotic Patriot

Boy, I hope she wants me...

Reverand William Duby, Psychotic Patriot

Here's a little something I got from Rev. William Duby's official biography:

He joined the military in 1962 and served in the Army for three years as a sharpshooter and marksman. It is noted in his military papers that his entire character of service was honorable. He was stationed at the Presidio and worked underground at the Nike Missile Site as a missile tracker and radar plotter before he was honorably discharged. Rev. Bill loved his country. He often spoke about working in the recruiting office in Oakland during the Vietnam era. In a PBS documentary, Rev. Bill can be seen riding on a bus to the recruiting office through the streets of Oakland while people were protesting against the war and our country

Uhh...  "Rev. Bill loved his country"?

Bill would go on for hours about the government conspiracies from the fluoridation of water all the way to government wiretaps.  He would rail for hours and hours day in and day out about the way certain individuals were persecuted by the government.  Unfortunately, those individuals were con men and other unsavory persons - a lot like Bill himself.

Mixed in with his assertion that we do not elect a president (we do - the Electoral College takes an oath to represent the voters per popular vote) was his chant that we are not required to pay taxes and that we should do everything possible to avoid taxation.  Easy for Bill to say: his earnings were not taxable as he received disability payments and had a lot of his expenses paid by the Academy for Psychic Studies.  The rest of us had to deal with not only the demands from Bill and his Witches of Ellsworth Street for money, money, more money and our children as well, we still had to pay taxes on our meager earnings as we worked for a living and didn't have a church to launder money through.

Bill was fond of wearing garish t-shirts that had USA and the american flag plastered all over them.  He also liked trucker hats with equally loud USA logos and stylized American Flags on them as well.  His now-defunct newspaper "American Spirit Newspaper" was regularly emblazoned with pictures of eagles, symbolizing the USA and our great American culture while the editorial content were a cynical and always depraved opinion of ourselves and our nation.

Bill delighted in naming his for-profit businesses (which oddly would dump so much of their revenue into the non-profit Academy for Psychic Studies that the for-profit companies would show no profit and therefore pay no taxes -  and I do not recommend you try this as it will bite you in the ass) with patriotic-sounding names such as: the now-defunct Liberty Construction, Freedom Estates - which controls housing for the followers and provides income to the Witches of Ellsworth and of course, his psychotic tabloid and fish-wrapper "American Spirit Newspaper".

Those names would be so very fitting if they actually provided Liberty and Freedom.  The construction company's head of operations was denied an opportunity to implement a plan to retain workers with benefits such as: health care, living wages, paid time off and so many things workers in decent and honest companies enjoy.  And Liberty Construction was instrumental in pimping Bill Duby's crib as a gift to Bill's lover and embodiment of his church: Angela Silva.  Bill demanded this tribute be made to he and Angela at no cost to either of them.

Freedom Estates' tenants are loyal followers of the Academy for Psychic Studies who are too haggard and worn to complain about the rodents, insects and overall harsh conditions of their housing.  I suspect there are more people who were shaken down for their last penny then thrown out of their Freedom Estates apartment into the street than those who remain.  In fact, if you think it through, it's got to be the case.

While the official ownership of Freedom Estates is the Spiritual Rights Foundation, Freedom Estates' only "employees" are Robin Dumolin and Angela Silva.  So, if a disproportionate amount of Freedom Estates revenues went to the Witches cauldron, no one would know.  And if anyone answered the Freedom Estates ad in American Spirit newspaper looking for real estate to invest in, no one would know the Witches got the money to invest from a group of suckers

You can't read American Spirit Newspaper as it is no longer in publication - even online.  But do check out the Internet Archive.  You'll find that collection of vomit and bodily discharge preserved there forever.

Did Bill actually love the people of America while maintaining a healthy distrust of the government?

What, are you kidding?

We all know Bill told us we were there because he and God loved us and wanted us to be the best we can be.  What we found out was we were there for an entirely different purpose:  to feed the two women at the top of the spiritual dung heap as much money, free labor, subservient devotion and children as they can gobble up.

So, I guess Bill did love his country - as long as we fed the bears and kept our mouths shut.

And Bill's mistrust of the government was for the things only a government can accomplish:  stopping people like Rev. William Duby from preying on people like you and me.

For Bill, the government never got a chance at him.  Bill dropped dead suddenly from a cardiac arrhythmia soon after the truth about him and the dysfunctional, useless and depraved organization came out.

As all good culties, we believed the mendacious spin-meistering of the Witches of Ellsworth, that all the things that were in print and the airwaves were no more than sensational lies and attempts at vengeance by disaffected and evil ex-members.

But after a few years, when the stories continued, the lies appeared true and the attempts at vengeance appeared as words of warning.  The only difference:  Bill was dead.

The control, the relentless pursuit for money, the unending control of your persona, the usurping of the parent-child relationship, the hidden agendas, the marked differentiation between the Witches lifestyles and the followers lifestyles and the lies about - well the lies about every damn thing continued.  It became clear to even many of those who still remain at the Academy that this "church" was organized as a place for women all right: Angela Silva and Robin Dumolin.

While Bill was living, it was easy to deflect attention away from the Witches and onto him.  But now that he's dead, the Witches can't run and they certainly can't hide.  There is ample evidence that so many of what's wrong with the Academy for Psychic Studies is what's wrong with the Witches of Ellsworth.

The Academy for Psychic Studies - A Class Act

I perused the Academy for Psychic Studies current class schedule the other day.  At each location, they are listing only one class.

Uh...  one fucking class?

The rest of the classes listed have no schedule but you can still give them $125 for it, even if you can't take the class.

All they have at the San Jose location is Meditation I.

And check it out carefully.  Does it read to you like it costs $125 for one goddamn day?

We who've been there know it's more like $125 for six weeks (which is still stupidly high considering you are paying for a 90 minute nap every week) but who among the public knows that?  Who among the public would even bother to call and ask if that price is for real after seeing it and getting sticker shock?  No one's going to bother to call them up - as the public is just doing what the Academy for Psychic Studies keeps asking them to do: take all this crap at face value.  The public is just taking the Academy's announcement as fact, even if it's not really.

So, looks like Meditation I will be yet another class with no students not because of this blog but because of the Academy for Psychic Studies' own stupidity and carelessness.

As for the rest of the classes, they are still off the schedule.  Again, stupid.

Why?

Even though you might not have enough people to cover every single one of the classes, should there be that much interest, you need to schedule them all anyway.

Again, why?

Because, in business (as it is at the Academy for Psychic Studies) appearance is key.  If you are listing all the classes you might conduct but show only one of them as available, you are telling the consumer either:

  • we're so short-handed and business is so crappy we can't offer what you want
  • we're too stupid to offer what you want
  • we don't want to offer what you want so go fuck yourself
I think the Academy for Psychic Studies is saying the last one.  What do you guys think?

A smart business would list all of their classes, so they have a better chance of getting someone interested in one of them.  Since there is
no possibility of having so many people interested in your classes they would all have students simultaneously, there's no real downside.  Even if they are as shorthanded as they are, they should still offer every goddamn class because it's no-lose.  They'll probably have only one class (maybe two) anyway.  Besides, if you do have every class filled up, that's a problem you want to have.

And if you are offering every class in the list every time you can offer it, you are telling the public you are open for business every day and are eager to receive them and be at their service.  Even if you can't fill any of your classes, you'd have to offer all of them all the time or the public will think you are out of business.

So, for all the talk of prosperity, for all the droning on and on about prosperous thinking, for all the invective about the ex-members losing the prosperous attitude and prosperous activities, who would you believe is thinking more prosperously in this instance - me or them?

We already know who has a better legal mind between me and Robin Dumolin but who among the Witches of Ellsworth Street and me would have more of a business mind?

Of course, no one there (especially Bill Duby and his Witches of Ellsworth Street) had much of a business mind - or a mind of any kind.  Stupid, vengeful, unproductive, impulsive, illegal and immoral decisions were commonplace.  Smart and reasonable ones were nowhere to be found.

The Academy for Psychic Studies - The Two Year Anniversary

You know, they should have read this
before they left their response.

Now that's worth a response of its own.

Just over two years ago, Joy and I handed the Academy for Psychic Studies/Spiritual Rights Foundation, ISHI Hypnosis, Angela Silva and Robin Dumolin the most humiliating public defeat in their history. After they filed a libel and defamation complaint against me and Joy, I returned with an anti-SLAPP motion they are still trying to pull back out of their collective ass.

Probably the most stupid thing they did was insist on a "response" here on this blog. I mean, if you are trying to tell the public you are a warm, nourishing and oh so spiritually guided church of love and peace, why file a ferocious lawsuit just so you can post a lame message you could have always done at any damn time? Don't say I blocked your attempts to post a comment - Blogger has no mechanism to block comments from any specific individual, computer or IP address. Also, why not keep the text on your website and server and force me to link to it so you can control the message and drive more traffic to your web site?

OH, right! It's because you are accustomed to getting what you want by force and intimidation! my bad...

I agreed to that because whenever the Witches of Ellsworth Street or their lackeys make a public statement in an effort to elevate their image, they wind up pissing themselves.

Now don't believe I railroaded them into a bad situation. I actually suggested the link and that I would display said link prominently on every page of this blog so they can remain in control of the message. I actually was planning a special page just for their response in addition to their links.

As expected, they turned me down saying they wanted me to agree in a settlement to allow them to post the message themselves (as a comment - the only way they can do it themselves).  Unfortunately for them, the comment system limits the length of comments (which I can't control) and it recorded their IP address (which I do control). I gave them a break, though - I deleted their IP address from the record.

They also insisted the response be displayed for two years. That means they guaranteed this blog will continue for at least two years. Why would I turn THAT down?

So now that the two years of public humiliation has passed, will I take down the Academy for Psychic Studies "response"?

What, are you kidding?

As that event has started an explosion of interest in this blog and has elevated it to a position of trust and esteem, I want to frame the damn thing!

Sorry for the ass formatting.  I tried to clean it up but of course, the Academy for Psychic Studies can't do a damn thing right and it looks here as it does in its original form.  Oh, and try to play the Twilight Zone music while you read this.  It will put this statement in its true context.

THE SPIRITUAL RIGHTS FOUNDATION RESPONSE TO MICHAEL KAWAHARA AND JOY FAITH BUTLER
The Spiritual Rights Foundation was founded in 1981. Since its inception, thousands of seeking souls have come through its doors. For some seekers, SRF was a brief sojourn on their path, for others, an abiding spiritual home.
For those who have come and gone, SRF has nothing but good wishes, understanding that those who left found what they needed and then journeyed on. Some former students of SRF have gone on to be spiritual guides and teachers in their own right, and many of those still maintain a warm and nourishing connection with SRF. On the other hand, a small number who have left SRF have expressed hostility and anger toward SRF after leaving. Some have made the most outrageous and fantastic claims against SRF.
The anger that some former students expressed after leaving SRF is akin to the anger that some children express as they separate from a parent that nurtured and supported them. The process of separation is necessary for some souls, and, unfortunately, separation can be messy as it involves all kinds of justifications and projections.
Spiritual teachers are subjected to all manner of projections from their students. Students project their higher selves as well as their shadows onto their teacher. Discerning students recognize that they are projecting their own psychic wounds on to the teacher. These students continue to grow and mature. Some students do not understanding the phenomenon of projection and believe that what they are seeing in the teacher is really inherent in the teacher. These students can become stuck in their confusion and anger and, as a result, fail to progress.
The late Rev. Bill, the founder of SRF, was the recipient all kinds of projections from his students. Rev. Bill was an iconoclast who refused to be held to a particular form. He was a spiritual teacher that never conformed to the stereotypical image that people hold of a spiritual teacher. As a flame can illuminate one’s path or burn one’s hand, so was Rev. Bill. He was challenging to some because he confronted students who tried to hide behind false conceptions and worn-out ways of being. For those who knew and understood him, Rev. Bill was a guiding light on their path to Truth.
Some of Rev. Bill’s former students had difficulty in assimilating his teachings, and in understanding who he was. In order to justify leaving SRF, these students painted a picture of Rev. Bill as a dangerous man. However, these students failed to grasp that the image they painted was simply a projection from their own psyche. They failed to realize that the real danger lies in not understanding that what they have projected onto Rev. Bill is the picture of their own unresolved inner wounds.
Many charges and wild allegations have been hurled at Rev. Bill and SRF by a small–but vocal--group of former students. Rev. Bill cannot defend against the charges, and SRF chooses not to do so. For those who believe the wild stories told by some former students, nothing SRF can say will change they minds. SRF invites those who want to see the truth with their own eyes to come, take a look at SRF’s work, meet the current students and teachers, listen to the teachings, and then to listen to the teaching that comes from their own hearts.

My response to their response:

I can't help it. I have to gloat.

I BEAT
THE SPIRITUAL RIGHTS FOUNDATION,
THE ACADEMY FOR PSYCHIC STUDIES, AND ISHI HYPNOSIS

and Angela Silva

and Robin Dumolin

To the Witches of Ellsworth:

You tried to intimidate me and all the people I care about. You tried to sue me with a lame, sloppy and irrelevant legal complaint. You lost. The Superior Court made you pay for my legal expenses.

Your attempt to silence the truth failed. Your attempt to abuse the legal system backfired.

This blog continues. And this blog is thriving.

That's not exactly what you intended with your lawsuit, I would guess.

Because of your failed, amateurish and transparent attempt to silence me with a wave of your gnarled fingers, I have been able to present myself and this blog to the anti-cult community. Thanks to your perverted actions, this blog and I have achieved more visibility and legitimacy than if you just kept your mouths shut.

And because of your childish and stupid actions, you have even more to explain away and even less credibility and even fewer victims to prey upon.

It's truly ironic that while you hide behind the First Amendment to conduct you reign of terror and spew the vile filth that guides your behavior, you attempt to deny the protections of the First Amendment to anyone who says anything you don't like.

Especially when those things are the truth:

The truth about what happens behind the wrought iron fence of your compound.

The truth about how the children were treated.

The truth about what you did to their parents.

The truth about how your teaching of prosperity prospered no one but yourselves.

The truth that the Spiritual Rights Foundation operates like no other legitimate church.

Well ladies, your disturbed brand of oppression may work in the confines of your gated compound but it didn't fly in the Superior Court of the State of California.

I BEAT YOU!

You Mocked It Up - That's Why I'm Kicking Your Ass

One of the core teachings at the Academy for Psychic Studies is the concept of a "mock-up".  A mock-up is a visualization of something you may have wanted - or sometimes had no idea you wanted.

The mock-up is such a core concept of the Spiritual Rights Foundation that the Academy for Psychic Studies would hold a six-week class (for the bargain price of $140) on the subject.  For those who have completed the class or for those who just want to make a mock-up, there are "mock-up slips" that can be filled out with the person's mock-up.  They are accepted only with the appropriate donation, of course.

Whenever someone "received" something that the leaders wanted to hold up as an example of prosperity or something, they would stand that person before the congregation to espouse the power of mock-ups and visualization.  That event is called "manifestation".

It's a concept something like "The Secret" - whatever happens in your life, good or bad, is the result of your visualization of what you want in your life, good or bad.

Of course, as mentioned, "manifestation" of a good thing was celebrated.  However, the "manifestation" of a bad thing is also celebrated.

Basically, whenever someone was placed in the doghouse for imaginary crimes the cry from the leaders was that the person "mocked it up".  Whenever that person faces a setback (which we all do from time to time) that person was said to have mocked that up too.  Like the person who got clocked by a car while riding her bike, for example.  Or someone who suffered a heart attack or any other disease (you name it, you mocked it up).

Far from anyone offering help, they offer ridicule to anyone with a setback - unless you are clever enough to have made them think your rebound was as a result of SRF activity.  Of course, I never did that - recently.

Anyway, the main thing that stood out for me was that any setback from disease to accident, to assault to the kind of mental torture and abuse doled out by the Spiritual Rights Foundation leaders took place because that person mocked it up.  In short, the verbal beatings, the abuse, the degradation, the lies and extortion visited on the victims of SRF was the fault of the victims.

So, those who lost their life savings, lost their marriages, lost their children even lost their lives after their association with the Spiritual Rights Foundation are to blame for their woes.  Because, those impoverished fools can't mock up a decent life for themselves.

There is plenty written on the Spiritual Rights Foundation and their role in the destruction of lives, financial ruin and broken families.  That they played a part in that destruction is without question.

What was not yet clear is where that kind of thinking, the blaming of the victim, came from.

I ran into the following today.  I think I know - Scientology.

Look at the below article. I'm not asking anyone to rate anyone else on the Scientology "tone scale" or the like.  I am asking that you take a look at the main idea.

Read it carefully and compare it to your experience with the Spiritual Rights Foundation and the Academy for Psychic Studies.

How often were YOU told your illness, accident, setback was a result of your own negative mock up?

And what were you told to do to repair the damage:  "Bring your tithing space into present time" or take more prosperity workshops at $300 a pop or go on a $300 special trance retreat?

What I remember is that everything necessary for the repair of my psychic mock up space took at least $600 out of my pocket.

What others remember are the ferocious and never ending tirades from Bill Duby and standing frozen in fear while Bill's spit flew into their face and his threats, insults, derogatory and demeaning invective dug deep into their very soul like the fists of a schoolyard bully.

I guess I was lucky it only cost me $600.  Others paid a much higher price.

Many people can become bullies and tyrants. It depends on the
environment that formed them and on what was rewarded..

Even quite decent people will bully others if it means they do not
become a target themselves. Some environments also encourage bullying
by rewarding it.

Scientology ethics tends to turn people into bullies because it asks
people to identify with bullies.

I will give you an example. Let us assume that a Scientologist is
being picked upon by ethics. Who is he supposed to identify with? A
Scientologist is forbidden from rewarding downstats- and what could be
more downstat than a broken man with a rag around his arm?

The Scientologist is expected to ask why the victim 'pulled it in'. In
other words it is the VICTIM who is worthy of punishment and not the
bully!

Think about that for a moment!

It would logically mean that the Jews killed by Hitler must have been
dreadful unethical people- why else would they pull in the Holocaust?
It is sad... but they must have deserved it in some way!!!

The same applies to people without food or shelter. They must have
pulled it in.

This is why the Church of Scientology never sends food or shelter to
the needy. It sends copies of 'The Way to Happiness' which is a guide
to ethical behaviour.

This turns all 'good' Scientologists into bullies to some extent. They
hear of distant wars and famines and feel no desire to help. Their
first instinct is to bomb and punish rather than send food aid.

Where is charity on the tone scale? There is no such heading but we DO
have something called Pity at -0.1. This is below body death so it is
actually better (according to Hubbard) to be dead than to feel pity
for a hungry person and send them food.

It is impossible to imagine a greater perversion of ethics than this!

Powerful bullies are worshiped as being 'upstat' while the victims are
condemned as being worthy of punishment.

Let us look at the Tone Scale.

Where is the bully on the Tone Scale?
+40 Tone 40

The Ethics bully is as high as it is possible to go on the Tone scale!
The Tone 40 person has no counter intention. He imposes his will on
others and shouts a lot! He is a sort of Superman with the Will to
Power. Adolph Hitler was Tone 40 while David Miscavige aspires to it.

Where is charity and decency towards the weak?
-0.1 Pity

This is why Scientology breeds sociopaths and bullies. Everything in
the tech leads there.

Take the Challenge

A couple of days ago, someone left a comment on this blog. The comment looked like it was made impulsively and contained a lot of flames. I looked up the commenter's activity on my web stats. He (or she) read an impressive three posts on this blog before commenting. And he (or she) commented on only one minor aspect of one of my posts, ignoring or unable to understand the rest.

Based on his (or her) exhaustive research and diligent perusal of my blog entries, he (or she) decided to blast everyone reading this blog by making the now-tired statement: "Get over it and shut the hell up. And while you are at it, close this blog down forever and never speak of the Spiritual Rights Foundation again."

I deleted this person's comment. It was for a simple reason: he (or she) used their own First Amendment rights in an attempt to restrict our own rights of free speech. In the past, I had allowed people to tell us to stop or shut up. Not any more. After I fought hard to preserve OUR right of free speech, I'm not about to allow another person to make another careless and lame attempt to quiet our voice.

That commenter claims to know a current member of SRF - a member who has been there a decade. The commenter also makes the claim the member has a visible change in behavior since her involvement with SRF.

The commenter also claims to have visited SRF headquarters at least once and says he (or she) found the "warm and nourishing" environment SRF claims to have.

Well now, I have a proposal for our commenting friend: move from your home in San Diego to Berkeley. Maybe your employer, the Navy, will transfer you to the Bay Area. Enroll in the SRF Clairvoyant Training Program. Buy everything SRF and do everything the SRF leaders tell you to do (including enroll in the ISHI Hypnosis training program - why not? I guarantee you will pass the certification test on the first try!). Stay for decade. Tithe 10% to 30% of your income and assets, as required. Pay several hundred dollars a month for classes, workshops and additional training. Pay a couple hundred more a month to attend a retreat. Pay even more for the therapeutic, healing audio and video recordings. Pay still more to rent an apartment in the SRF ghetto tenement.

Then after a decade, when you finally return home (if you still have one) count up the assets you have left (it won't take long. It's probably what you have in your duffel bag) and take a true and candid assessment of your own personal state of mind. Consult a counselor or psychologist to help if you like.

I'll bet you a dozen Krispy Kremes you'll find yourself just like us

And you'll wish this blog existed for you, too.

The Academy for Psychic Studies - It's mind control!

That the Academy did some pretty evil things to wreck our minds is one thing - seeing the same damn thing elsewhere is just plain mind blowing.

This series of videos is from M.E. Anders and despite their kind of freaky appearance, the content is pretty amazing.
