Steve's writing is vivid, visual and guttural. The first time I read it, I couldn't sleep for days. But I couldn't put it down either. Reliving those crazy events and coming to grips with my participation in them helped me accept that I was indeed in a cult and that my best interest was the last thing the Spiritual Rights Foundation gave a damn about.
