Blowing their horn with the wrong lips

How come none of those mid-life burn-out cases
stuck in the 70's ever mocked up a hot chick
like her for the Academy for Psychic Studies?
Uhhh, I think I answered my own question.

UPDATE:  The reviews shown below have been removed from Yelp!  No, I didn't do a thing to get them removed - Yelp! did it all by themselves.

We often heard from the head psychotic "If you want to blow you own horn, use someone else's lips.".  He never really made clear what that meant to him (as he did with most things) but he did imply to have others make public compliments to you.  That would help bring prominence and legitimacy to whatever it is you are doing - like running a psychic cesspool.

Today, even as the infamous Academy for Psychic Studies are in the midst of their death throes, the number of supporters who just aren't there to support them either in body or mind seems to continue to make an annoying racket.

On this Yelp! review, our intrepid Marilyn has given an honest review based on her experience with the Psychotic Academy.  It's a one-star review.  The really funny thing is Marilyn's review is the ONLY review visible to the reader.

There are a couple of them that are hidden and not factored into the Academy's review rating, though.  I'll
give you a look at them before we tear into all the reasons why Yelp! didn't factor them into their rating.

The first fractured review is written by a familiar name.  She's the one who was convinced God told her to buy a Toyota POS from her crooked neighbor for a price that was utterly outrageous.  She's also the one who would attract snickers whenever she spoke, eye rolling whenever she asked a question, disgust when she entered a room and throughout it all, never noticed just how much the psychics at her beloved place insulted her and laughed at her behind her back.  I guess it's merciful that she didn't.

Not a day passed when the staff didn't have a "Crazy Lizanne" story.  As Lizanne had a lot of things going on that I thought were psychological in nature, I thought her treatment at the hands of the Witches and the rest of the witch-ly staff was reprehensible.

That second one is interesting.  Ms. Mary H. appears to be one of the nuts who have left comments of support for the Academy that revolved around insulting anyone who participates in this blog because she didn't like what was said here.  Of course she claimed her first hand knowledge was more accurate and complete than ours because she once came by for ten minutes to pick up a friend who attended this cesspit for a decade and during those ten minutes, she received a psychotic healing.

Mary H. sounds very much like a person from San Diego who commented on the blog, never claiming personal experience with the classes at the Academy.  She also never claimed to have resided in the Bay Area, saying she had lived in San Diego, making it impossible to have attended classes in Berkeley.

It is pretty well apparent in her review: she got it all wrong.  The Academy for Psychic Studies doesn't deal with habit control - ISHI Hypnosis does.  Well, ISHI Hypnosis used to. Anyway, it's clear her motives were to attack this blog and anyone who had the usual crappy, exploitative experience most people have.

She did say way too much about having a friendship with a person well connected at the Academy for Psychic Studies, which gave her the authority and standing to tell us all we are tools and to fuck off.

Mary's comments were summarily deleted on that basis and her appearance in the blog was erased as thoroughly as Bill Duby's true past.

However, before I did, I challenged Mary to drop what she was doing, take the introductory mind control classes, enroll in the Clairvoyant Training Program and move in to one of Angela Silva's shit-hole apartments for the duration.

My prediction for her outcome after a few years was the same as ours: bleak, impoverished, debased and devalued with little to no prospects for a complete and fulfilling life and a need for intense psychological treatment for many years to come.

And when that happened, I promised to let her vent about it on this blog for as much as she liked.

For some reason, Mary didn't take me up on my offer.  Hell, I thought it was generous!

I haven't heard from Lizanne either.  She does have a blog of her own, in some kind of retaliation to this one and support of the blog the Academy for Psychic Studies abandoned.

Speaking of abandonment, Lizanne had a relationship with the Academy and the Witches that was eerily like that of an abused child trying to gain favor with the abusive parent.  She paid, and paid, and sang the praises of people who demeaned her and insulted her and paid even more until her funds ran dry.  Then she was heaved out to the street.

Lizanne still thinks her expulsion was her own fault and the Witches were doing only what was best for Lizanne's growth and eternal unfoldment when they told her to go fuck herself.

So, I guess it's understandable that Yelp! decided to hide these warm and nourishing reviews, and discount them from the Academy's overall rating.

When one five-star review sounds like it came from someone who missed her daily medication or took way too much of it and the other came from a person who is nowhere near the Academy (and is probably the one who admitted she never took a single goddamn class there), I wouldn't want to show them either.

It's uncanny.  Whenever the Academy for Psychic Studies tries to blow their own horn with another person's lips, what should be musical sounds like a psychotic delusion.  What they would expect to have impact, lands flat on its face and the warm and nourishing support the Academy expects to receive is as empty and sanctimonious as the support they give out.

Wow, sounds like the Law of Attraction is alive and well after all!
