Your rights, our rights and the rights of those in fear of speaking out have been upheld.
We signed a final settlement agreement ending the lawsuit conducted by the Spiritual Rights Foundation, et. al (Angela Silva, Robin Dumolin, ISHI Hypnosis).
This settlement ends the controversy. The Spiritual Rights Foundation, ISHI Hypnosis et. al. (Angela Silva, Robin Dumolin, ISHI Hypnosis) have agreed to stop harassing us in the legal system. In return, we will allow them to post a rebuttal comment - ONE rebuttal comment. This condition of the settlement is laughable. As all of you know, comments here are not moderated and no one has ever been banned.
However, that SRF decided to sue first and comment later proves they continue to display outrageous and unrestrained behavior to achieve even the most insignificant results.
Thanks to our brilliant and talented attorney (a First Amendment specialist who is a member of the California First Amendment Coalition who was senior editor of the Yale Law Review and reviewed legislation for Barney Frank), we responded to their complaint by filing a demurrer and anti-SLAPP motion with the court. Those motions argued the SRF complaint was as bogus as it gets and has no legal standing.
They were angry I called them a cult. We had a quote from the Spiritual Rights Foundation's own lawyer saying, in effect: Who gives a damn if you call SRF a cult? So's the Catholic Church.
They said my writings here were false, defamatory and libelous. We showed several articles from the Spiritual Rights Foundation's own newspaper that supported what I wrote here.
We presented SRF-related court cases related to what I write here. We presented a lot of stuff. Most of it was from SRF's own mouth. The stack of documents was a good four inches thick.
SRF did not file with the court a legal response to our motions.
Instead, they offered a settlement showing their true nature: cowardice.
Never again will the Spiritual Rights Foundation obstruct the right of free expression and free association.
This settlement is a victory for those who speak out now and those who would but for fear. We have proved the strength of the First Amendment will vanquish petty tyranny.
And those who will speak out in the future may now feel confident revealing their own experiences and expressing their own thoughts and opinions.
We hope to hear from all of you soon.
Until then, enjoy Joy's Victory Video:
Yay!! Yippee!!! Great to hear this news Mike and Joy!
ReplyDeleteThumbs up!
Carol (Harmony :-)
btw: IMO, SRF should compensate the 2 of you for the distress from the legal pressure with which they attacked, (not to mention from your past experiences of psychological/spiritual/cultic abuse while in the group).
PS: Could you post the link to that youtube song in your post? That's great! I'd like to have to post it.
ReplyDeletecheers!

SO Angela, Robin and Debi got humiliated in court? That is a reflection of how stupid, dense and so illogical they have grown into there 50's! They actually have to pay for things out of there pockets I hope? God forbid they actually asked staff and students for legal fee donations. I'm sure they never touched their own retirement accounts. What kind of sob story did they sell to the ones left there? Did they shake down the senior citizens who still have money in this economy, that happen to be males?
ReplyDeleteDid Gabriella have input of how the lawsuit should have proceeded? I guess Bill's mind in her hasn't developed a proper legal course for you in this matter?
The 3 DUBYETTES should start taking stock of assets and make a B line to Hawaii, as you will get more people leaving sooner than later. Your days are numbered. Enjoy the false life you're leading, because you will have plenty to answer for once your dead.
I will forgive you when you give back what you stole in false love projects and donations request, and my dignity and reputation. I belived for so long, like those still there, but you turned on me the last few years I was there, and I saw with my own eyes what kind of people you turned out to be. You will always have a special place in my asshole, but until you make retribution to me and others you've hurt over the years, you will remain dead to me. AND I DO MEAN DEAD! I gave with all my heart and bought your lies and help support you and others for years and kept getting shitted on and lectured about giving with strings when I flexed my concerns about how you were treating me. You are so arrogant and dense, that you never saw you lost people by sticking to a dogmatic and engrained belief system. Ironically, your dogmatic beliefs is what got you into this legal mess. You should give back the hundreds of thousands you've pocketed in the name of SRF and freedom of religion. You are 3 woman ministers destined for hell. Actually, you already were ticketed for it with your arrogant attitudes towards others, and the sense of entitlement you inflict on others.
Get with the karma thing, and stop being such two faced cunts. I use cunt, the way you were used to Bill calling you that when he was alive. CUNT GAMES aren't pretty. They're petty and only serve you in an enclosed environment you have enjoyed in the past, and I guess still currently do? Maybe now you'll change your ways and stop having Debi be your spy and lie to others behind there backs. Maybe Robin will actually have to work in having a personality, instead of relying on hiding behind her title and position? Maybe Angela will actually have to admit she is so full of shit, that oozes out of every hole in her body? ......NAH! The spin doctoring is already under way and they are determined to be petty and attack those who are now considered turncoats and disidents. Your life span is now coming towards the end in your church/cult. SRF will be disbanded within the next 2 years, and I don't have to be clairvoyant or in present time with my reading to know this will be true. You'll lose more ministers this year after this settlement as SRF will no longer be attractive to staff members still there. It will provoke thoughts of jumping a sinking ship, or metaphorically speaking, its like a team player wanting off a losing team and going to a winner. You 3 will forever have your fingerprints on this corspse or watch when the ship sinks at SRF. The question will be, will you go down with the ship and take it with dignity, or will you bail and jump ship, pointing fingers at everyone but yourself?
I think there may be an interesting point dug out of all that invective:
ReplyDelete"God forbid they actually asked staff and students for legal fee donations."
I think what the writer said is: the SRF leaders are going around asking the congregation to give money to pay attorney fees and expenses accrued from the leaders' failed lawsuit.
We all remember how we were asked to dig into our pockets to support one cause or another at the Spritual Rights Foundation. None of those causes were charitable but they were a cause for, uh, something.
One such cause was a legal defense fund for "the kids". It was communicated as a way to fund the right to educate the SRF children at home. What it actually did was give the people a cause to rally around and help solidify them against a common enemy.
I think we are being put up as a common enemy.
And just like before, I'll bet the faithful few will again be rallied into solidarity while the leaders rifle through their pockets.
The writer above saw it (that's why he spoke of it). I saw it. Who else saw it? And where did that money actually go?
Mike makes some important legal observations about some of the points that D made in his comments. I remember well how SRF tried to collect all of its legal fees from the people even though the people were already giving all their money to SRF.
ReplyDeleteBut I would like to make another point about D's comments. D's comments are raw and powerful. Clearly there is a lot of anger there and for many good reasons, and he lets it flow, but he also is facing one of the most difficult things to face when you leave a cult - shame and humiliation, personal shame and humiliation. It is hard because that is the position your enemy wants you in, or at least that we imagine that they do. It is hard because you have to face that you were (supposedly) defeated, cruelly abused, publicly berated, tricked, made to be their sucker, deprived of sex, respect, embarresed and made a fool against your own will in front of your own children; and worst we were manipulated to be cruel to each other. It is even worse as a man, because a man is supposed to know better and protect himself and others. Bill did no less than to try and take people's very soul from them. He and now Robin and Angela want people ignorant of their games, and their sinister manipulations. It is important for D to do what he is doing, and say what he is saying, because he is taking big chunks of his soul back by expressing his awareness of their spiritual robbery.
This is exactly what I was doing when I wrote 'Spiritual Perversion'. I hope I have given full value to what D is doing. Rage that remains trapped and unacknowledged is poison in the human psyche. This is about awareness of how the mind control was perpetrated; it is like picking leeches off your soul.
There is another level though, and some of us may not be ready for this, but it is this: Revenge is for the Lord alone. When we are motivated by hate and revenge we lose the protection of the Lord. This is not to say though that we should suppress and hide our anger. It is good to feel it and express it because it is the means of awareness to what is inside. This is in fact how I wrote my book: controlled rage. It was a meditation on anger, humiliation, and all manner of feelings that bore the fruit of perceptions, awareness, and creativity. Eventually I discovered that God was with me the whole time.
Personally I see a lot of progress in Dave's rant, but it is important to keep an eye on the prize, and that is our relationship with God. I'd love to see Kevin cut loose like Dave. These guys are extremely talented and entertaining. This forum, made and successfully defended and against the forces of tyranny by Mike and Joy, serves a great purpose for us to do this. God bless freedom of speech.
Steve
It is great that this has happened, it shows that mind control for fun and profit is not fun or profitable for the victims of mind control, this scheme that was concocted by desperate people for their own gain, but they run and hide behind children, the bible, and their big bank account and lawyers whenever it is exposed in the sunlight. Because you were once under their control, you have to be gagged forever because they resent you discovering and speaking the truth about their activities, these commenters are right about the cathartic effects of talking about these experiences that are shared not only
ReplyDeleteby the ANONYMOUS crowd, but also by other victims of other cults (BPI, scientology) etc. of which there are many. SRF is a loyal sister
of these others no matter what crap they peddle to their culties. She is a sister because she is run by the 333 witches and they keep a bunch of nuetered old dogs around for show. their biggest idol is cash just like the other cults as anyone who watches them slobbbering and drooling when they talk about prosperity which means the same as cash in their eyes. When I told one of these poor guys who had been conned by them he was just a "yes" man to them and that he had a fake title he got really angry and tried to argue but deep down he knew it was true. There is one young dog left there, but they turn on their bullshit mind control machine on full blast when he is around because they need him so that they can look good. They have no concept of God or Jesus but use all their energies to twist the truth, they cant be the first ones who have done this, Because the name of the band Twisted Sisters fits them perfectly.
It's always good to see people come out from the bondage of a cult and into freedom. There is a certain satisfaction, too, when they are held to account a little.
ReplyDeleteWhere is the SRF post? I see Steve's letter and your mention of it, but don't see it anywhere.
