Let's start letting the world know that we will remember the deep and lasting effects of Spiritual Abuse on the thousands, perhaps millions who have experienced that trauma.
The below came from a great blog at: http://www.spiritualabuseawareness.com
Go there and take a look at it. It's not as long-winded as I am but there is great information there. It's well worth a read and I recommend that you do just that.
Raise Awareness
We want to help raise awareness for Spiritual Abuse and have chosen January as our awareness month, but we feel it is such an important topic that we work all year long in raising awareness.
We are working on pamphlets that you can download and print to give to your loved ones and churches. Not all pastors are opposed to raising awareness and they may be interested in learning more and offering support groups for your community. (*Note: If your pastor is opposed to talking about Spiritual Abuse with your church, that can be a red flag and you may want to consider getting help.)
We are working on ordering awareness ribbons and wristbands as well. Stay tuned for more information on this.
Thanks for posting this button on your blogs. It will be a great way to bring the issue of Spiritual Abuse to light.
