Where's an Iraqi with a shoe when you need one?

I've been reviewing some of the recent SRF radio shows "Total Prosperity".

I'm not listening to every moment of every broadcast (who the hell has time for that?) but I do listen enough to figure out what is being said.

In the beginning, the show was a soapbox for Bill Duby (who for years was Total Prosperity's permanent "guest") to espouse his particular brand of philosophy and world view. Even if you didn't agree with him, the show was at least entertaining and did find an audience. The back and forth between Bill and Debi was somewhat entertaining as well.

Since Bill's death, Total Prosperity has struggled to find a direction. Without the unique point of view that was Bill Duby, the remaining "hosts" and "guests" just can't seem to find anything interesting to talk about week after week. So, every show deteriorates into the usual crap topics inspired by recordings made at SRF many years ago.

Topics such as:
Leaving the Painful Past Behind
Family Programming
Men and Women
Can You Unhook?

Not only are the topics on Total Prosperity old, worn and incomprehensible (can anyone define "unhook" - you can't find it by listening to Total Prosperity) these topics defecated on the public airwaves lack the insight (albeit a warped and deluded insight) from the long-time permanent guest.

Total Prosperity has become not only boring and tired but an utter waste of time.

So, in the tradition of "Amazing Discoveries" (that pioneering "show" of the late 80's), Total Prosperity has morphed into the radio infomercial for the Spiritual Rights Foundation.

While I've kept no statistics on how many times a class, workshop, Clairvoyant Training Program Open House, Hypnosis Training Program course or any other of the money-making ventures of the Spiritual Rights Foundation are mentioned, it's so much that I'm waiting for Billy Mays to start shouting at me.

I'm telling you, if I could heave a shoe over the radio...

  1. zzzzZZZZZZZZ! That sums up the radio broadcast of Total Prosperity. KEST should kick them off the air for unimaginative, bland, out of the body leading rhetoric. I guess if they replay it at night for insomniacs they might find a loyal following, or lose them to a full restful night of sleep.
Angela, lets here one more time how your classes benefit the masses? Lets hear about the special workshops that attract one or none people. Lets hear about the monthly retreats that attract only the people already at the school..with a little bit of arm twisting. Lets hear all about the classes that will transform your lives, as well as transform your bank account from plus to minus in a hurry!
Who would ever imagine a woman like Angela Silva and her 4th grade education could be a CEO of the Spiritual Rights Foundation? Who would have thought that a 4th grade education could lead a group of followers to the promised land? You heard me right, a forth graed edukation! Oh wait, did I mention she is a self promoted extraordinaire clairvoyant.
Didn't you know she was promoted as the world tell all, know all sage at SRF. During raffles that were to promote fund raising, her gift to the raffle was an hour reading with her. WOW! A whole hour with a fourth grader education, a former booster of clothes to help feed her drug and alcohol habit, and president of SRF. Did I mention the only people who committed to support the fund raising was those already in the church, and who donated everyday, week, month and year that they were and still there. That seems like such a value for all those thousands of dollars we already dumped in there. Do you think that anyone really thought this was of value? Yes, because we were told so by Debi, Robin, Rick and all the stalwarts there. Did Angela, Robin, or Debi ever dump money into any fund raising events? Answer: Little to none. I guess since they were the head of the staff, there monies weren't needed for such important issues.
Total Prosperity really means is Total Prosperity for Rev. Angela Silva, Robin DuMolin, Debi Livingston Boushey and Dan her husband. The rest of you are totally broke.

  3. zzzzzZZZZZZ comments:
some really good points. Practically all of the retreats, classes, workshops, fundraising events are practically void of any new or "outsider" people although they announce in Church Services and radio shows how "so many people came" and "it was such a hopping night." I swear they could not stop lying if they tried, The program is so set in their brains they may self destruct if they had to come up with anything new.

  4. Bill Mayes is so right on the mark! Ron Popiel was already taken I guess? So damn funny..There radio broadcast has about 10 loyal people for Total Prosperity and about 2 for Spirit Talk, which is counting twice since those 2 listeners just want free readings and call in again!
There is no depth or substance to the program, just constant selling of classes no one is longer interested in. You already got all your potential clients in the bay area to take classes. The problem with Angela, Robin and Debi is they just can't sell it to the masses. Worse yet, they don't even try to hide there lack of total interest in the place! You know you're in trouble when the top tier of SRF don't even believe the crap their unloading on the sacred airwaves. Kind of like a store that has financial problems and can't afford restocking the shelves. You notice how barren it gets in just a few short weeks.
